He should be very safe in Lafayette. If the storm were to go in as far east as Port Arthur/Sabine River, he’d still be fine. Lafayette is about 65-70 miles east of Lake Charles.
I see that Obama is scheduled to be on SNL just as Ike hits shore. Maybe he can make the waters recede.
