Washington is the latest state to show a strong western surge for John McCain since he added Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Washington finds Barack Obama still ahead, but barely. Its Obama 49%, McCain 47%. A month ago, Obama was up by twelve percentage points. Recent polls have shown McCain gains in Montana, New Mexico and North Dakota.
Among Democrats, Obama now attracts 83% of the vote, down six points from last month. However, the big change comes among unaffiliated voters who now favor McCain by a 48% to 43% margin. In August, before the two parties held their conventions, Obama led by twelve among voters not affiliated with either major political party (see demographic crosstabs).
WOW! Just WOW!
I bet this is fallout also from the Dem Gov’s corruption scandal thats getting big there.
I suspected some different states were coming into play. The way the Obama campaign is reeling, their own polling data has to scare the sh*t out of them.
Add Bradley effect at about 5% to all poll numbers.
BO’s toast.
Woo hoo!!!
Sometimes the polls generate extra bounce for the next set of polling. Lots of work to do FRiends. Still lots of time left.
Not according to some Chicken Littles on FR, they think Barry still has a 65% chance of winning this thing.
How do you take a 16 point lead in a die blue state and mess it up.
yup thats bambi. if Washington is falling into play, so will oregon and all those top states minesotas and wisc and michigan. Bambi is going to have to spend lots of cash defending all these states.
It is going to be a barnburner. We need to work and act like we are down 10 points in every state.
Another day, more good news!
Whoa, indeed!
If Washington is in play, a lot of places will be in play.
Obama should have been able to put Washington away a looooong time ago.
Uh-Bama HOPES that he can CHANGE that but doesn’t know how.
I’m not saying that we should in any way relax.
Let’s just do the work, and be pleasantly surprised when we see (R)’s winning.
(and maybe winning big)
;^)
So I guess they weren’t spinning when they promised a 50-state strategy. They just didn’t tell us it meant defending all the blue states.
LMAO...
Yeah Whoa is right, it kind of knocked me for six seeing that up early on Rassmussen, i wonder why they posted it very early, its 12 hours too early.
Bambi is short of cash, whats he going to do now he has lots of blue states to defend.
It's not just Obama ‘messing up’. It's also McCain doing a great job with his VP pick.
Gregoire’s in trouble over a corruption scandal?
