Librarians irked colleague sent unverified Palin e-mail

A Palm Beach County School District library manager set off an e-mail controversy this week when she sent school librarians a list of books Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin allegedly tried to ban as mayor of a small Alaska town.
Problem was the list turned out to be a hoax. It included Harry Potter books that weren't yet published when Palin had an exchange with the Wasilla librarian about removing books.

The list might be fake but it has to be accurate because it was on the internet!
Librarians, particularly the “political types”, watch books, but they don’t necessarily read them, nor should they be expected to have any understanding of their content ~ e.g. standards of evidence, date and time relationships, etc.
And they certainly are idiots!

Great because you did it!

she must be an awful librarian.
one look at the books on the list should have alerted her.
she was just doing her part for the obama team.
I am a librarian and a conservative- a very rare breed indeed. Thankfully I work mostly with genealogy and local history so I don’t have to deal with the dregs.
.....it’s worth remembering that librarians have refused to co-operate with the FBI in terrorist surveillance.
....they’re as bad as the ACLU
"I looked at the e-mail and immediately reacted to the banned books and did not stop to check the entire e-mail," she said Thursday. "And I should have done that."

So where did that list of books Pelser circulated come from? It appears to be a compilation of books that have been banned from libraries around the country at one time or another.
Why does she have to double-check her own list, unless she didn't write it?
Conclusion: The list of books came from the DNC. She didn't check the list before she forwarded it.
DNC Playbook Tactic: Identical to the 'former republicans' like Barney Smith who prefaced 0bama's convention speech.
Too bad the librarian didn't do enough reading to figure out she was passing along bogus info....
Oooh! Let's get to the bottom of this book banning! BY GOD! If she should become president, no book will be safe from her evil clutches!
Meanwhile, black liberation theology, Rev. Wright, Chicago style machine politician, Saul Alinsky style political organizing, Rezko, land deals, Michelle's administrative plan to keep homeless and other indigents from utilizing her hospital's ER, Railia Odinga, ....Nope, nothing HERE to investigate, folks! Get your asses up to Alaska where you can do some REAL good and get to the bottom of what this Palin woman has been up to! The book banning thing was a good start. Maybe someone can check the date of Willow's last period. She just might be pregnant, too. Oh, check Piper's last year's report card! No better yet. See if she's ever been sent to the principals office!
I deal with moonbats (on both sides of the desk) all day, since I work in an environmental sciences library. :-o
Hey now. Everybody deserves his/her 15 minutes of infamy.
Is Huckleberry Finn on the list? Oh! I forgot it’s been banned by LIEberals. So that makes it ok.
What a maroon. It must be fun to be shown to be a fool in front of the whole country.
Pelser is just your typical Dimocrat, doesn’t know her donkey from a hole in the ground.

"The right to read is at the very heart of librarianship," she said.
When a liberal speaks, one can always find a joke in what they said.
But it’s not the accuracy of the list that’s important, it’s the seriousness of the charge.
