Will Sen. Joe Biden be dropped from the Democratic Party ticket before Election Day?
Television pundits, talk radio personalities and blogs have been buzzing with speculation about a last-minute VP switch for the party.
On Fox's "Hannity & Colmes" last night, Sean Hannity asked Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., "Will they replace Biden with Hillary?"
Rendell replied, "No, absolutely not. Joe Biden is here to stay. Next vice president of the United States."
However, according to recent polls, Biden's popularity is not as high as Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Results from a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. national survey released yesterday have Obama and McCain virtually tied Obama has 49 percent while McCain has 48 percent. But Sarah Palin has surged ahead of Biden on popularity with 55 percent to his 44 percent. Her favorability rating is also 6 percent higher.
Following Sen. Joe Biden's recent statement that Hillary Clinton might have been a better choice for Obama's running mate, a popular online trading exchange website is taking wagers on whether Biden will be withdrawn from the ticket.

Arkanacide?
Has 24 business hours turned into 48 business hours?
John Edwards. Tanned, rested, and ready.
Arkantosis: Sudden illness of members of the permanent political class. Symptoms include extreme fortuitousness for Demcrat politicians, memory loss in those surrounding the ill, inabilty to remember documents and sudden stoppage of the heart.
There is no cure, survivors report success from change of career plans to outside of politics however memor loss is persistent and when exposed to a grand jury, made permanent.
Edwards has also been thoroughly vetted. /s
The buzz started as soon as it became apparent Hillary wasn’t the one.
What no one cares to admit, Biden isn’t the problem, it is Obama.
Lets get down to the truth.
I show it at 6.5 now, an even better bargain with all this buzz.
Are these threads going to be called “Biden Suicide Watch” threads?

> Tom Eagleton was dumped because he admitted seeing a shrink.
It was more serious than that. He had had electric shock treatments.
McGovern is a goofy old Socialist. Eagleton was respected or at least liked by a lot of us Missourians. McGovern really hurt him.
As a proud member of Republican’s to Save Biden’s Candidacy, I must insist that Joe Biden is a nice man, especially to those who are unable to stand up. He’s a very nice man, a wonderful fellow, bringing joy to our days.
They won’t dump Biden for the reasons already cited. PLUS, Palin being a woman is not the reason for the new momentum. It may be part of it but as two people told me today, “she is a breath of fresh air.” That is what it is. Hillary is not a breath of fresh air. She is all the politics of the past, will upstage O and will look mean and glum next to Sarah. Same for the other two women. And what people seem to be missing is that this has FINALLY energized the Republican base. THAT is what wins, not whether she is a woman or not.
If Biden could be replaced, why not Barack? Why not rehash the whole ticket? Super delegates were in the Clinton's pocket early on. While that did change, those that defected must think now they made a huge mistake. I'm not sure, but don't they have the power to change things at will?
I wouldn't be surprised to see a political coup here, with Hillary taking over with her pick of VP. Just replacing Biden wouldn't be enough. Biden isn't helping the ticket, but he isn't slaughtering it like Obama is. Thats why I think if anything happens at all, it will be a complete change of the ticket. Hillary will not want to demean herself in the company of this idiot who couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag.
As McCain started jumping in the polls... not only did his intrade stock go up, but curiously so did Hillary's. Hers didn't make a huge jump, only a few dollars, but I found that to be very interesting. Like, which insiders were hurrying in to get in on a good deal, knowing that Hillary was going to take over?
If Biden is dumped for Hillary the ticket is doomed. You can’t restart this late in the game with that much blood spilled.
This must be another misquote from the radical Right, correct?
I’ve been asking around about whether a new presidential candidate would mean a write-in vote at some point. Someone mentioned that they’re already printing ballots. Perhaps it’s up to each individual state whether a write-in would be necessary after a certain cut-off date. Not sure.
But regardless, I’m enjoying our two chew toys.
