Pre-emptive war, if deemed necessary
Taking war to countries where terrorists are harbored
spread democracy
That's a very simple version, obviously.
I think you guys need to start thinking with your big head, instead of your little head. I realize she's your ultimate fantasy - a good looking woman who like sports, likes to hunt, etc., but do you honestly think she is ready for prime time?
I take it you didn’t hear her original answer to the question before Charlie corrected her with his version of the Bush Doctrine. She answered his version really.
Unless I’m mistaken she answered along those lines.
Well where is the Bush Doctrine officially outlined so we can all get educated?
I understand why she is going through some intensive foreign policy prep before being thrown out for interviews. Rememeber when they tripped up Bush by asking the name of the President of Chawazikistan or something?
Quick - What is the name of the President of Pakistan? I know it’s Bhutto’s widower, but without Googling, I couldn’t tell you the name. I fully expect McCain, Palin, Obama and Biden to know that name.
You could argue that is a sexist response. I am a female and I am not going to freak out about her not knowing the specifics of the term “Bush Doctrine”. I am more interested in what she would do and the ways she sees the world and she has the right idea so you need to tame it.
Thanks for covering her answer...good job.
If I had been asked, I would have assumed that the Bush Doctrine referred to this idea that "all people yearn to be free" and that all people want to live in "Demos Kratia", and that it's perfectly acceptable for the USA to sink $600 BILLION or more into a couple of third world cesspools like Iraq & Afghanistan under the assumption that the people of those nations "yearn to be free" [and will spend the money wisely once it is handed to them].
And I think you need to not lead with your chin. Your sexist preconceptions are inane.

And you think Obama is more qualified than Palin? Obama, the mystery man whom you know nothing about? Obama, who has extremists in his inner circle of advisers? Obama, who in three short years became the biggest benefactor in Congress with the largess of the FMs? Yeah I think Palin is more qualified. I certainly believe you don't have to be a Washington insider to be qualified. Do you think for a moment Biden would make a good president? Common sense is an admirable trait. Honesty is another. Palin has both.
