Playing innocent doesn’t wear well.

Creation has been edged out through litigation for decades starting with the Scopes trials. Until then it was taught in public schools across this country. The only reason it’s not being taught in schools now is because it’s been sued out, NOT because the majority of parents want it out.

Parents have been voting to allow creation BACK in schools as it used to be taught for years and every time, someone files a lawsuit faster than you can say ACLU.

An evolutionist complaining about enforcing the teaching of anything through legislation is the height of absurdity for several reasons.

First is that they don’t hesitate to use force themselves, so it’s very hypocritical for them to complain about someone else pushing back.

Second, using legislation to get something done is the proper way of doing things. Misusing the judiciary and holding school districts hostage, basically, through the threat of financial ruin through frivolous lawsuits is unconscionable.

You need to review your government and the responsibilities of each branch.

The other thing is, this is a representative republic. The parents have the right to vote to allow the teaching of creation BACK into schools. Actually, they shouldn’t even have been forced into that position but they were. No one came up and asked them to give it up. No, they were sued into it. Using the judiciary to force them to capitulate to the demands of a small elitist group is inexcusable and smacks of communism and socialism.

Last but not least, evos are great about complaining when they think that some Christian or creationist wants to impose their world view on the evo (ie. the dreaded *theocracy*) , but are great in justifying why they should be allowed to impose their worldview on the Christian or creationist.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

You know who usually files those lawsuits, don't you? Parents. Parents who often, as in Dover, turn right around and vote out the school board who snuck creation in. But I guess parents' wishes only count when they wish for the same thing you do.

The other thing is, this is a representative republic.

Yes, with provisions for the protection of the rights of minorities.

Using the judiciary to force them to capitulate to the demands of a small elitist group is inexcusable and smacks of communism and socialism.

Reeeeally? Communist societies are characterized by minorities taking their grievances to the court system for protection against the tyranny of the majority? Do tell.

Creation has been edged out through litigation for decades starting with the Scopes trials.

You realize, of course, that Scopes was forbidden by law from teaching evolution, and that he lost the case?

Louisiana bow has a law specifically allowing alternatives to evolution. What do you think they will teach as an alternative? What specifically would you teach?
