ABC News' Matthew Jaffe reports: Sen. Barack Obama's, D-Ill., vice presidential nominee, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., Wednesday said that Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., might have been a better pick for the position than him.
At a rally in Nashua, N.H., a man in the audience told Biden how glad he was that Obama picked him over Hillary, "not because she's a woman, but because, look at the things she did in the past."
"Make no mistake about this," Biden responded. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Lets get that straight. Shes a truly close personal friend, she is qualified to be president of the United States of America, shes easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America, and quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me. But shes first rate, I mean that sincerely, shes first rate, so lets get that straight."

Yup. They're going to be reading the blogs over the next couple of days to see what the lib kooks out there are saying. I swear, it would not surprise me in the slightest if by the end of next week, Hillary is back. It's going to be Lautenberg Redux X 10.
LOL! Thanks for the inspiration for my new tagline.
“Everyone needs to go to the link and read the comments below the article.”
thanks for the heads-up on that. Need more popcorn!
But would Obama’s supporters vote for Hillary?
LOL! I’m going to miss this race when it’s over.
Uhhh...Demonrats!?
If they were Republicans, you would be right. But being that they're Democrats they can change whatever they want up to Nov. 5 Jan. 21.
Why would not Hillary have the leverage to ask for the top spot?
The unintended consequences of political correctness! What a maroon!
She loaned Obama her campaign plane in early July, which nearly killed all on board.
If Biden steps down it will be for “health reasons”.
Of course, then he would have to explain why he’s keeping his Senate seat....
Yeah, I think Hillary has much bigger and faster ideas. Her fundraising friend in Philadelphia, lawyer Philip Berg, is getting very little press on his legal challenge to Obama’s Constitutional eligibility to run for President, but that little gambit is chugging along very nicely. Something is afoot.
Try to keep things in perspective.
If you rate vice presidential candidates on a scale of 1 to 100, 0bama might be going from a ‘1’ to a ‘2’. Sure, he’d double his rating, but he’d still be 98% idiot.
This has got to be one of the worst run campaigns in history! Every day it's something new and even more unbelievable than the day before. The libbies are writing McCain's political ads for him. I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow and the next day and the next ...
It is really up to the individual parties. Obama cannot willy nilly pick someone according to their rules. And then you have the individual states to consider. Each state has thier own rules to when the canidates and electors have to be submitted.
I don’t remember what they did about replacing Robert Kennedy.
Why do I get the strange feeling that Biden will bow out for health reasons
Terminal Hair plugs, the heartbreaking disease that men are reluctant to talk about.
Just smile when they put the shiv in, Joe.
I cannot see Obama dumping Biden for Hillary because I don’t think his ego will have a woman on the ticket. He is not a leader and he will not have someone with more leadership qualities on the ticket with him.
I’m starting to kinda like Biden. Wouldn’t vote for him, but he’s coming across as a decent guy. Before he attacks McCain, he mentions that he respects him - and it’s real. Don’t know what to think...
I’d love to see Hillery say, “No, not this time Barak. Sarah and I will fight it out in 0-12.”
Biden out. Hilary in.
I like this in theory; they could sweeten up Biden’s parachute for an early exit by giving him a spot as Barry’s chief food taster! ;0)
