I know what a misstep is.
It's when you're walking and errantly step while not paying attention to where your feet are landing. Mistake due to carelessness.
Misspeaking is another matter. The brain is consciously forming thoughts, expressed through carefully arranged words. Each word is intentionally chosen. Not a mistake.
If I recall correctly, the diagnosis for a person who has random and sometimes volatile words fly out of their mouth is Tourette syndrome

Wonder if Ms. Walsh explained the entire event to her troop?
Isn’t it interesting that the badge is named “Ms. President” rather than being non-gender specific? That isn’t empowerment. It’s indoctrination. Shame on the Girl Scouts. Still a great organization.

Whether you consider this a gaffe or not there is a pattern of "events" that clearly demonstrate that McCain knows how to run an organization and 0bama does not. All the more reason to put an adult in the Whitehouse.

Still, Walsh questioned why Obama's campaign didn't just send the materials when she first asked. "I thought it was a little ridiculous," Walsh said. "I guess I don't understand what the problem was."Sounds like the Obama campaign has a bad CEO, one with little or no experience.

DeJong said that whoever took Walsh's call at the campaign headquarters misspoke. Seems to be a lot of that going around in the Obama campaign, starting at the top.
