Yes, it was a gaffe, but it looks like he honestly tried to rectify his verbal error. I don’t think any harm was intended and it won’t play out like the 0bama “lipstick on a pig” comment. I’ll give Biden a pass on this one.

It goes to his over-arching arrogance...He gives off this vibe of being so confident...so in control...and yet he can’t even control his own mouth.

Well, I don't think that Biden was being malicious, and to his credit, he did try to rectify his mistake. It's certainly true that we all make mistakes.

But Joseph Biden is a mistake.
