Putting lipstick on a pig makes it still a pig is as old as I can remember.

#####

No one is claiming that it is an original comment. Delivered 5 days after Sarah Palin gave her speech with her “lipstick!” punchline, it is a direct reference to Sarah Palin as a pig.

My feeling is Obama truly didn’t mean to reference Palin, but I’d bet a paycheck his speechwritier knew what HE was doing in referencing this in the speech.

And I’m thrilled these “intellectuals” are so unaware of themselves.

I can hardly wait to see those reports in mid-November:

“Where did WE go wrong?”

The media asking themselves once again in what ways THEY are out of touch with America.

Last time it was the Christian vote, this time it will be the women’s vote.

I can hardly wait. If it weren’t for football season being here, I’d be wishing for mid-November, and it couldn’t get here fast enough!

5 days ago Sarah started talking about change that she envisions.

Obama thinks that he’s the only person that can claim “change”. Obviously he’s wrong but that doesn’t change the fact that 5 days ago something came up to attack what he believes is his birthright. That alone makes sense for the expression.

He’s says that McCain/Palin don’t really represent change and since that saying is as old as forever and most people know it.. it’s obvious that is a reasonable expression to use to describe what he thinks about McCain/Palin change. Now that doesn’t make it right or accurate. But everyone is taking this a little too far.
