Obama Smears McCain-Palin As Lipstick On A Pig
The remark was IMPLICIT. He did not have to mention any names to get his point across.
The only other time the word ‘lipstick’ was used effectively in the campaign was by Mrs. Palin. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing.

EXACTLY -- what we need to trumpet is the FACT that he made his remark in the context of a very famous remark made just days ago about "what's the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick!" He was most assuredly playing off that context to introduce the "lipstick on a pig" them...... that's why his audience went wild, they knew exactly what he meant. btw, NY Post has it at the top of their web home page now and they obviously know what he meant, too, since they juxtapose photos of Obama and Sarah Palin:

That will be a great image to have handy in coming days....
