I never thought Barry could win. All media hype. Everything points to Barry going down hard.

Yes, Hillary would have beaten him at the end had the Democrats put in a winner take all system.

They put in a system to protect HER and it backfired.

He has been on the decline since it was revealed what kind of church he has been attending for 20 years.

If you watch the MSM you can tell they know this too.  They're not nearly as enthusiastic as they had been.

Kerry was a far left liberal and lost by a smaller margin in MT than Gore did in 2000.

The NRA should run ads there. They have earmarked ad money already. I hope they run there.

Kerry very cleverly packaged himself as a veteran and hunter. That is why the 'swiftboat' campaign was so important.

MT will not go for Obama.

If MT went for Obama, it wouldn’t matter. Obama would have won by a landslide. The point is that some of these red states like MT, Colorado, VA, and AZ are trending Dem. I attribute it to changing demographics. By 2042 half of the country will be minorities [as classified by the USG].

No doubt, that is why the MSM were hopeful to see MT as a real possiblity.

I think those States are trending Democrat because the GOP in those states are not putting up good candidates.

Didn't the last GOP Senator from MT have some ethical issues?

The McCain/Palin ticket may do alot to return respectiablity to the GOP.

McCain mentioned that in his speech, that the GOP hadn't changed Washington, Washington had changed the GOP.

If you look at the MT state legislature compostion where the Dems control the Senate and are one vote away from controlling the House and you have two Dem senators and a Dem governor, something is happening in MT.

I agree, and it isn't good!

The same is true in Virgina and Col. but I think that is more from the GOP getting weak and the Democrats running conservative sounding candidates.

That is what the Democrats forget in Presidential elections, most of the nation is conservative, even those portions run by Democrats.

Case in point is Kansas, with a Democrat Gov.

That is who Obama should have picked, but he was too afraid of Hillary.

But that governor got elected running as a conservative and running against GOP corruption.

In one way, Bush reminds me of Grant, an honest man, but not really knowing what was going on around him.

I live in Northern VA. I attribute the ongoing political shift to the Dems as the product of demographic changes and immigration.

I am sure that is a factor also.
