What with his LESBIAN daughter who adopted a child with her LESBIAN partner.
I thought that Mary Cheney gave birth to the child.
I have no problem with lesbians or with parents who have gay children, and happen to think Cheney is the best VP in my lifetime. I also don’t recall ever hearing about the Cheney children running wild as teenagers, getting pregnant, getting arrested for drunk-driving or drug use, etc.
Keyes was busy ranting hysterically about how evil gays are, including his over-the-top “explanation” that the reason gays shouldn’t be allowed to adopt children is that the children wouldn’t know who their biological parents are and thus might inadvertently commit incest — he was so into this anti-gay stuff that he totally lost sight of the fact that exact same “risk” applies to children adopted by married heterosexual couples. And then in the middle of all this his adult daughter decides she’s had enough and announces to the world that she’s gay. The whole thing was just insane, and still there were huge numbers of FR posters insisting that Keyes was a marvelous candidate and that we should all donate to his campaign because we needed to get people like him elected to save America.
Did the press ever ask Bill Clinton if his daughter was sleeping around? We probably wouldn’t know if she used protection because chances are she would have had it aborted.
Speaking of family problems, look at Reagan’s kids. Anyone ever ask Reagan what he was doing while Ron was busy becoming a ballet dancing poof or Patty was rebelling? Was any of that a reflection on the kind of presidency that Reagan gave us?
