Winchester 94, Trailsend ... $480 ordered through Wal-Mart. If you can find a used one at a gun store, the Winchester 94 Ranger Compact is ideal also.

I bought my PUMA 454 model 94 last year for just $400.00 and I'm shocked at how much the prices have increased in just one year.

Of course it's not as nice as my large lever Winchester .44 mag I picked up two years ago for $325.0.

S. 1805. It had the ban amended to it and McCain still endorsed it.

Also, the Gun Show Loophole Closing and Gun Law Enforcement Act of 2001 (S. 890), sponsored by Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Joe Lieberman (D-CT)

He has only a C+ rating from the NRA.

Of course, let’s not forget that Joe Biden wrote the first assault weapons ban.

It seems to me McCain chooses to support firearms only as limited as need be to keep getting elected.

McCain Interview

It is stated that he is for a ban but he simply cautions that banning some firearms may spill over into hunting firearms. So, he is for a ban but doesn't want sporting purposes to be distrupted.

"All NFA rules apply."

Nice -- but what about barrel length and overall length? And it has an extendable shoulder stock; that's no "pistol"...

Folks would do better to purchase from individuals rather than dealers, are you forgetting paper trails? Don’t think that a Marxist/Communist government won’t have enough minions to enforce a gun confiscation edict. Read your history. Think. Be creative.

Today’s electronic data access makes it very easy for a dictator, and don’t think we’ll have our Democratic-Republic sytem in place either if B.O. Plenty is elected; radical judges will be in and his mysterious para-something “bigger than the military” enforcers will be in operation. I didn’t say it, he did. Nothing is being hidden here except his records, college data, associates (although we know about those), birth certificate verification, etc., etc.

But we know enough about him anyway don’t we...

I bought a Glock for my daughter after Bill Clinton was elected but before his inauguration. I told her it was a Christmas present from Bill Clinton. I suspect the same thing is happening now, even before the election. Right now I can't afford another gun, but I may have to re-think that if it looks like Obanalamadingdong is really going to make it.

Also, I may buy more ammo. BLOAT!

"There's soon going to be a discussion in this country about automatic weapons," Franklin said. "I think people would agree having an AK-47 on the streets is something that needs to be regulated."

Let that "discussion" start with the fact that possession of automatic weapons by civilians was essentially banned by Federal law 74 years ago, Mr. Franklin.

if just found ‘on the street’ with no supervision, I would regulate it myself by picking it up and taking it home.

“So, he is for a ban but doesn’t want sporting purposes to be distrupted. “

He still thinks it’s about “sporting”? Or “hunting”?

We keep voting in the lesser evil, yet strangely enough, things get more evil each cycle.

...gun owners and gun advocates brace for a potential Democrat in the White House for the first time in almost 10 years.

Bush's two terms total eight (8) years. What am I missing here?

Obama "says" he supports the 2nd Amendment but "acts" to infringe the rights of the people to keep and bear arms. An honest oath to "preserve, protect and defend" COTUS, does not mean getting away with as many infringements as possible until the courts decide to step in. Expect him to push it all the way: gun bans--handguns and rifles; owner registration lists; "safe-gun" technology; bullet/case micro-stamping; tagents (once again) in smokeless propellants; taxes on any and all things firearm related--guns, ammo, components; destruction of warehoused surplus arms.

If we thought Clinton was bad, wait for the Obama'nation.

McCain voted against the Assault Weapons ban and also helped sunset it.

There’s a really good article in Dillon’s Blue Press on getting everyone to vote for McCain.

In my case:
No more guns.
No more ammo.
More practice.

Deaf Smith said: "I’ve noticed a increase in selection and number of vendors of AR type firearms at local gun shows. "

No doubt due, at least in part, to the ridiculous so-called "assault weapons bans" in the People's Republic of Kalifornia. You can't buy a Bushmaster AR-15 type rifle, because they are outlawed by name. But you can buy a virtually identical rifle (minus the pistol grip) made by any of several other small companies. These companies probably only exist because of this nonsensical law.

Democrats, meanwhile, say there's no reason to worry that presidential hopeful Barack Obama would attempt to curtail access to most guns

And such comments almost invariably include the caveat "...but all semi-automatics should be banned."

Automatic weapons by civilians just requires the Class III stamp and signature(read more money) in most states.
