Obama Pads Empty Resume: Claims That Running Campaign is Executive Experience
DBKP ^ | September 7, 2008 | LBG

“But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed … when the roar of the crowd fades away … when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent’s plan?” –Sarah Palin at the 2008 Republican National Convention

When Barack Obama was asked about his executive experience on Anderson Cooper's 360, he claimed that running a Presidential campaign was more "executive" experience than Governor Sarah Palin's tenure as mayor of a town in Alaska.

Aside from the fact that Obama deliberately left out Palin's current executive experience as Governor of our largest state, Alaska, Obama's answer seemed to imply that voters were unable to distinguish the difference between a politician running a campaign, and a person already elected to an executive office with actual experience under their belt, such as Palin. It brings to mind Obama's fake presidential seal. A cheap imitation of the real deal, just like his "executive" experience is a cheap imitation of the real experience of Palin's.

We did a check and failed to find anyone who backed up Obama's claim, that running a campaign should be considered the same as being mayor or governor in regards to executive experience, even Joe Biden has remained silent.

From Anderson Cooper's 360:

Cooper:

Some Republican critics have said that you don't have the experience to handle a situation like this, they've in fact said that Governor Palin has more executive experience as mayor of a small town and as Governor of the big state of Alaska. What's your response?

Barack Obama claims running a campaign qualifies him as having more executive experience than VP pick, Sarah Palin. More proof that when Obama departs from a tightly-scripted remarks, he's food for the fishes.

Obama needs a team of psychiatrists and lots of meds.

He is incredibly delusional and no I am not joking.

By the time that Barry O’Bama get done talking, he won’t be able to run for dog catcher.

I have maintained a checking account for 35 years. Can I be Secretary of Treasury?

in all fairness he has run for the office for 15 months or 450 days, more than 3 times longer than he spent in the senate before announcing his campaign

An Army or Marine Division Commander has by a quantum measure more executive experience than the ‘O’.

I find it kind of funny that he points to running a campaign-that campaign LOST nine of the last fifteen contests. That’s a 40% success rate-sorry getting it right 40% of the time IS not something to be proud of.

One incredibly interesting thing to note: When he talks about “his” executive experience, it is “we”, “we”, “we”. “We” are managing this many people, “we” are managing this size budget. So even with the campaign experience it is not really him. He seems to be a mere facade for whoever is pulling the strings.

Obama is not running the campaign. David Axelrod is. Obama is just the guy who fit the suit. Had someone else been a better choice David would be working with him and Obama would be just another know nothing senator.

He just can’t get the words “Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska” out of his mouth.

Could it just possibly be that Ronald Reagan was also a governor who won the White House?

Too much similarity there, Obama?

I assume then, that Governor Sarah Heath Palin’s executive experience in running both her campaigns for Mayor of Wasilla and Governor of Alaska also counts as executive experience?

Barack Hussein Obama needs to go back to the drawing board. When someone sets out to BE important and a historic figure tooth and nail, with actually DOING something real and important and historic being an obvious afterthought - it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Now that the American people have seen the real thing in Governor Palin, the shine is off Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s apple.

...he claimed that running a Presidential campaign was more "executive" experience than Governor Sarah Palin's tenure as mayor of a town in Alaska.

I believe that Obama actually believes this to be true.

After all, being a Governor is doing the peoples work while running a campaign is doing your own work for personal gain.

For Obama working for one's self is a #1 priority as a public servant.

Obama was a part time lawyer, a part time community Organizer, a part time professor, a part time Illinois senator (its a part time job in Illinois). And he has been a US senator of over 3 years while running for president about half the time. So US president would be his first full time job since leaving Harvard Law.

Such an absurd statement is just a measure of how embarrassed and desperate the Obama campaign has become by the fact that he’s totally inexperienced and an empty suit. Even his buddy Jeremiah Wright has more “executive” experience than he does simply by managing his congregational affairs!

He just can’t get the words “Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska” out of his mouth.

A bit tougher for him than the words ahhh and umm, while stuttering replies.

This AM on ABC he couldn't even figure out what religion he is affiliated with, Christianity or Muslim.

The man is teleprompter dependent.
