Obama offers Palin a game of hoops
WASHINGTON (AFP) - Democrat White House nominee Barack Obama on Sunday offered to go one-on-one with Republican vice presidential pick Sarah Palin -- but only on the basketball court.
Obama, 47, who blows off steam on the campaign trail with games of pickup hoops, however joked that he wouldn't take on the Alaska governor -- and experienced hunter -- with a gun.
"She looks like she's got some game, she played in high school," Obama said of Palin's basketball talents on ABC "This Week."
"You know, I know she's a sharpshooter, and I know that -- I probably wouldn't do target practice with her.
"I think she'd be a better shot than me. But on the basketball court, I think I'd stand up pretty well."

If this is something he really said publicly, then you have your answer...

Right Obama offers a game of hoops and tire guages. Palin offers a pipeline and drilling.

Obama is desperate. He’s losing it along with the rest of the left.
This is a sign of the impending meltdown.
I saw video of Obama on the stump yesterday and he almost lost his composure.
It’s coming. Their poll numbers must look really bad.
Palin should counter-offer with a Debate.
Maybe Palin should take him up on his offer and make a fool out of him on the court.
It would be political suicide for Obama.
Why make such a statement?
Because he’s desperate, that’s why.
Hillary must have turned down his belated offer for the VP office.
yes! in fact, in my opinion, by choosing Sarah Palin McCain did not take the "experience factor" off of the table like the MSM keeps insisting... it's made Obama bring it to the table himself... that's what he's doing each time he talks about her... i love it, too!
How about bowling ya sissy?
Yep, seems Obambi has changed places with Biden and is now running for VP — against Palin —
Biden for President, anyone???
Why is Obama wasting time talking fluff ?
Answer-Because that’s all he can talk about.
When Obama is away from reading other people’s words-he is incredibly vacuous.
It’s a chilling tribute to the power of the old media that they were able to create a larger than life figure
out of this empty head
and then propel him to his zenith.
His star is obviously fading as voters actually get to see him without benefit of his media protectors.
He looks lost and muddled now on the stump.
The Messiah has turned into The Mess.
Or maybe target shooting or running a marathon? How about a triathlon of basketball, target shooting, and finishing with a marathon?
How about McCain running an ad with this saying that Barry knows even Sarah is more qualified on the topics this campaign is about and he’d rather shoot hoops with her?
LOL!!
How about a talent show on stage in front of a live audience...... Obama can prove he knows how to use an air pressure gauge while Sarah Palin demonstrates how to “field-dress” a moose...... :^)
He is lowering himself to her level. I love it!More like he's trying to rise to her level.
How bout Dueling Pistols at 50 paces?? After all, she’s already Field Dressed ya.
Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops
She should take him up on the offer. I don’t think she can loose whether or not she wins.
I thought the political rule is that your Presidential candidate should never get caught up in debating the other side’s VP nominee. It makes you seem...... un-Presidential.
Obama’s actually helping the Rs. Wonderful.
Who IS that woman? I just wanted to play a little basketball and she just beat the pants off me. Now, what am I gonna do? Who IS that woman?.
If Obama wins he comes off looking like a male chauvinist pig. (does anybody remember the Billy Jean King/Bobby Riggs match). If he loses he comes off looking like a fully incompetent ZERO (He can't even do basketball right).
No matter how it ends, Palin comes off looking like the ultimate example of Feminist power and Obama comes off looking like a ZERO.
