(I know you didn't ask me, but after guzzling coffee for the last three hours, I just can't help myself.)
Why would we want her on these shows? She has already stated that any "good opinion" of her by the media is not what she cares about. IMO, to appear on these shows would only give them credibility far beyond what they deserve.
just my .02
And spot on!
Great points, but I look at Sarah as an offensive weapon who’s ready for the big show. Her targets are DEM’s and DBM’s. She’s already inflicted wounds on both. She bypasses the media just like Reagan
She needs little prepping and to “hide” her gives credence to her “unreadiness.”
Correct in spades Roccus...she owes the media less than squat
We’re down here in hurricaneland.....ain’t so bad
I find it interesting that the Dems [and their lackeys in the MSM] are upset that Palin is not immediately available to them, yet the Dems avoided appearing on Fox for months and even pulled out of a primary debate that was hosted by Fox.
You have to let Palin go out and express her views to the public, other than reading a teleprompter or speech notes. Otherwise, it will appear that McCain’s campaign has no confidence in her ability to think on her own. I’ve seen her in debates and a few TV interviews and she seems to do well. So why are they hiding her?
She’s articulate and has a better camera presence than anyone else in the race. The game that modern TV journalists play is to steer all interviews either towards personal attacks or their political causes. Even politicians who have the most TV time (McCain) fall into that trap. Palin doesn’t come off as that sort of person. She’s illustrated that if you keep your composure, stick to your guns, and fight back when you’re being attacked by people who think entirely too highly of themselves in the first place, you’ll mop the floor with them. So she should be showing up on tv news shows even if they’re going to attack her. In the end, she’ll win.
What I’d worry about more is putting Palin in a situation where she has to defend McCain’s policies and actions.
