The Talk Shows
Sunday, September 7th, 2008
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Obama chief strategist David Axelrod and McCain campaign manager Rick Davis.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Republican presidential nominee John McCain.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Sens. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas; Gov. Tim Kaine, D-Va.; Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs; McCain economic adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer.
Did you notice it was Stephanopolis who reminded him to say 'Christian'. It was reflexive for Obama to say Muslim. Hmmm.
Re the media whimpering about “access” to Palin.
Two words: No way.
She has been through enough over the last ten days to remove any need or desire to do anything with the MSM that isn’t strictly on her terms, and after the abusive and completely unprofessional conduct toward her children, I’d be surprised if she doesn’t smile sweetly and just tell them all to Eat Sh** And Die. (Probably to the wild applause of three-quarters of the voting public.)
The elephant in the room is not Palin’s reaction to the MSM, however.
John McCain is and always will be a sailor, and sailors stand by their shipmates, especially in a fight. After the load of crap that the MSM has put on Palin, they might just be beginning to realize that they have really done little but put themselves on one “nasty old” sailor’s permanent sh** list, and having to deal with that same gentleman ain’t ever going to be the same again.
Reminds me of the line from the book about “...National Command Authority is seriously pi$$ed”, then applying that to the current topic.
The public’s reaction is going to be even more long-lasting and generally unpleasant.
MSM has stepped on their own crank, BIG TIME, and they’re only now beginning to feel the pain.
In the dos prompt you can also do a ping command, along with there are some web sites that can find out, I was doing this a little the other day, but as an armature, didn’t delve into it very far

Hahaha I so love this. The media is reduced to old films and clips and the people of AK to illustrate Sarah. The biggest thing to hit politics in years and they can't even get an interview. Just think how the Brits and Europe must be laughing at the media too. I so love this. Thank you John McCain and crew.
Palin's acceptance speech was and is a historic event. It will go down in history as a defining moment in Republican Party history where all of those searching for leadership and guidance in the party found it.
You have to let Palin go out and express her views to the public, other than reading a teleprompter or speech notes. Otherwise, it will appear that McCain’s campaign has no confidence in her ability to think on her own. I’ve seen her in debates and a few TV interviews and she seems to do well. So why are they hiding her?
It would be a shame if Mc had to go outside the beltway to find competent people
.
Like all those fiscally conservative Democrats that got elected to the House and Senate last go round, only to reflect fiscally liberal voting records like 0bama?
They are not hiding her. Today Biden was on MTP, first Sunday talk show since getting the VEEP nod two weeks ago. Nobody make a big deal of that.
But, I’ve seen Biden on several other talk shows, including Fox and Friends. And I’ve seen Biden out there talking on the stump without notes. Palin has to field questions from the media and talk on her own. Whether we like it or not, it’s part of being VP.
Community Organizer Obama never finished what he started,
note the date of the article,
the resident still have asbestos 21 years later;
On the Streets of Chicago, a Candidate Comes of Age
As a community organizer, Obama was a pragmatic leader

Perhaps his most confrontational effort was to pressure city authorities
to remove asbestos from the apartments in 1986.
When the on-site manager didnt take action,
Obama nudged the residents into confronting city housing officials
in two angry public meetings downtown.
These generated a victory of sorts, Obama said later,
as workers soon began sealing the asbestos in the buildings.
But the project gradually ran out of steam and money.
In fact, some tenants still have asbestos in their homes,
according to current resident Linda Randle, 53,
who worked with Obama in the 86 anti-asbestos campaign.
You are better at that stuff than I, I’m pretty basic on the computer.
What a speech it was awesome and unforgettable, almost every line a work of art.
THat thing will run, looks like an old hemi.
From Ellen Degenerate:
Its our 6th season premiere from my new studio on the Warner Bros. lot, and what better guest could I ask for to kickoff the celebration than MICHELLE OBAMA — who may very well become the first African-American First Lady in U.S. History?!
Michelle will be here to talk about her husband Baracks run for the White House
.
Can Todd Palin go on your show next, Ellen?
Says who?
Isn't there some kind of equal time statute that says he MUST be on her show as well, or does that only apply to the candidates themselves?
Thank you, I’ll actually try to clear my schedule, but assuming they will repeat it at some time, may have some grass cutting to do
Roundtable: Obama Economic Policy
C-SPAN
Today at 3:53 PM ET. 31 minutes
Ummm, how about every other VP who has appeared on television to argue their case to the American people? You can’t hide someone and expect people to believe the person can think on their feet. We criticize Obama because he is awful without a teleprompter. So let’s see how Palin does without one.
rodguy!
Grab that video off of Flopping Aces on the right hand side of the page and post it as a separate thread. It is probably THE most effective pro-McCain ad I have seen, and it was done by an amateur.
