Presidential Nominee Vows To Fight Back Against Character Attacks Better Than John Kerry Did In '04 MIDDLETOWN, N.J. (AP) ― Unlike his Republican opponent, Democrat Barack Obama is still raising money for his presidential campaign, and he turned Friday to rock legend Jon Bon Jovi for help.
Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, hosted more than 100 people for dinner on their mansion lawn by the Navesink River in Middletown, N.J. The price was $30,800 a person, to be divided between the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

"We're not going to be bullied, we're not going to be smeared, we're not going to be lied about," Obama said. "I don't believe in coming in second."
Earlier in the evening, Obama attended a $2,300-per-person reception at the nearby home of veteran party fundraiser Phil Murphy. About 200 people, including the Bon Jovis and New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, attended.

TRANSLATION: We’re not going to be exposed! Our media servants will continue the cheerleading and protection. No one will find out who I am, what I am or what I will do to this stinking country.
I’ve only seen one side in this election use bullying tactics and that side would be Obama’s. Between going after a man who was reporting on what were in the UC papers where he served with Aryers, to sending threatening letters to TV stations that aired a commercial he didn’t like. No one has ever tried to do that to you.

Barry is real thinned skinned, isn’t he?
Yeah, all those attacks against Barack Obama, that he is a religious extremist, that he had an affair with his wife’s business partner, that his youngest “daughter” is actually his grandchild, that he has abused his office for personal reasons, and that he is forcing his daughter to carry a child to term against her will... Those attacks are just horrible and Barry had better fight back against them...
Obama told the $30,800-per-person attendees - the money goes to a joint Obama campaign-DNC fund — that he hoped they were up for a fight.
I hope you guys are game, he said, because I havent been putting up with 19 months of airplanes and hotel food and missing my babies and my wife - I didnt put up for that stuff just to come in second. I dont believe in coming in second. The American people cant afford for us to come in second. Weve got to win this thing and were going to win it with your help.
Obama said that the assignment of his Republican opponents is to see if they can snuff out that spirit in this campaign and to knock me down more than one peg, he said. The reason that events like this are so important, weve got to have the resources and the energy and the determination to say No to that. To say ‘enough.’ Were not going to be bullied, were not going to be smeared, were not going to be lied about. Were not going to resort to the same tactics, but we are going to confront them.

Well, I dunno Barry... You can try to come in third... But I just don't see Ralph Nader pulling in quite that many votes!
Blue Collar Jersey Guy to Host $30K a Plate Obama Fundraiser
Man of the people Jon Bon Jovi will be swinging open the gates of his New Jersey mansions for $30,800 a plate fundraisers for Barack Obama Friday. If you’re expecting to head to the Jersey shore for the weekend, plan to be stuck in traffic as roads are closed to allow the community organizer to get there in time for the arugula appetizers.
He does all the lying, all the bullying, all the smearing, and he’s whining????
Sarah Palin could take him and he knows it.
Their internal polling must really be scaring the hell out of them.
“Can’t beat a girl! Can’t beat a girl!”
The events at the two Jersey Shore homes will boost the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee run by Obama’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Both are also being co-hosted by Gov. Jon Corzine.
Whatever you do, don’t dare make fun of Obama for his relations to celebrities. It might hurt his feelings.

Ex-Goldman Sachs honcho’s donkey fight
Rubin assured Murphy he could handle Washington.
“He has very substantial technical expertise from his corporate finance work, but he combines that with a wonderful facility for dealing with people,” Rubin told Fortune. Murphy, Rubin added diplomatically, could handle the “complexity” of the DNC schism.
Murphy has spent the past year plying his Harvard undergraduate, Wharton MBA, and Goldman alumni networks to build a base in stubbornly red states like Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi.
He has turned to friends like Cappy McGarr of McGarr Capital Holdings in Dallas, Jonathan Lavine of Bain Capital in Boston, Goldman senior director Robert Kaplan, now teaching at Harvard, and Orin Kramer of hedge fund Boston Provident in New York.
“We’re not going to be bullied, we’re not going to be smeared, we’re not going to be lied about,” Obama said.

Bambi telling that to Bon Jovi and room full of east coast arugula munching effetes. Pure estrogen.
"You're going down, Soldier Boy!"
