their only debate before the Sept 16 primary election, challenger Edward OReilly challenged the vote of U.S. Senator John F. Kerry's vote authorizing military action in Iraq and complained the incumbent may not serve out his term if Barack Obama wins the presidency.
Mr. Kerry, who some, including Mr. OReilly, believe may seek to become Secretary of State in an Obama administration, said only that he intends to serve out a new, six year term if re-elected, leaving an obvious opening to accept a cabinet post next year if Democrats take back the White House.
The half hour debate taped today to air at 8:30 a.m. Sunday on WBZ-TV

Did Kerry mention that he served in Vietnam?
I heard he maybe was.
Hey, the Kerrys and Kennedys know one thing about the sheep of Massachusetts:
Once bought, they stay bought.
And the price tag is generally cheap.
That reminds me, What time does The Munsters start?
Kerry was in Nam?
Ed O’Reilly blasted the format of his debate with U.S. Sen. John Kerry on Wednesday, saying that the senator set the rules and that they are an “insult” to Bay State voters.
“I do not believe democracy should be a spectator sport,” O’Reilly said in a statement. “John Kerry has set all of the terms relative to the upcoming debate and the public is not only being excluded from participating, but people are being prohited [sic] from even attending.”
According to a statement entitled “Mockery of Democracy” distributed by the O’Reilly camp, O’Reilly and Kerry will tape their debate Friday at 10 a.m. and it will run Sunday at 8:30 a.m.

God help us.
Someone needs to ask John “Why the long face?”.
He’s the turd that even punchbowls turn away from.
I think the one time debate , the first in 24 years for John Kerry to keep his Senate Seat only lasted 15 minutes, and will preview on Sunday Morning, while everyone is at church. Probably didn't have time to mention it.
O’Reilly should cloak himself in the mantle of change and hit Kerry for being in the Senate forever and never accomplishing anything.
Kind of sad, when the two Senators representing the State of Massachusetts, don’t think they have to put out any effort to keep their seat. The only Time Ted Kennedy did, was when Mitt Romney took him on, that was one great debate.. Teddy even broke out in a sweat some.
My thoughts exactly.
Did Kerry step up to the podium, give that gay, girly-man salute and intone, “Reporting for Doody”?
Hard to believe it has been only four short years, since John Kerry ran for President, with John Edwards as his running mate.. Such easy targets they were. ha.
Give him hell Mr. OReilly.
