exactly.. this was not McCain’s medium. He is just not that compelling as a speaker. However, his story of sacrifice, bravery and moral character was very good. And more importantly it was moving. I was spellbound. I wish JM could speak better, but then, he wouldn’t be John McCain.

He has my total respect and my vote, and this man has really p*ssed me off in the past... but again, that’s John McCain.. He has his way of doing things. A true man’s man. The gipper would have been proud.

McCain and Palin.. I wouldn’t change a thing about either of them.

Exactly! I was gonna hold my nose and pull the lever for McCain. It would have been a vote against Obama rather than a vote for McCain. Then along came Palin and I was going to vote for her. Now, I can look myself in the mirror and say I'm voting for McCain/Palin.

Fred Thompson would have been great, but, as the Rolling Stones said years ago, "You can't always get what you want. But if you try, sometimes you get what you need."

The party needs these two. They are the right people at the right time and I'm proud to vote for both of them.
