The first 55 minutes were a yawn. The last five minutes were very good.

I was expecting to find kudos after kudos on this thread! A great speech! The ending gave me goose bumps! Awesome delivery!
I loved his perspective on how his service in VietNam didn’t make him worthy of the Presidency, but put him in debt to the nation.
The entire speech was 45 minutes...
If you thought they were a yawn, I have to respectfully disagree.
It was not an attack speech, and it should not have been. It was not a speech that will be talked about for generations, but it was a very very solid speech, and it will play well.
He showed himself, and why he was on that stage, and it was not a cult of personality like Fauxbama, it was about service.
I don’t agree. I think he got off to a slow start; of course thanking his wife, mother and so on; but he touched on the important issues; showed how he is far different from Obama and showed his love for his country. He might not be a great orator or as charismatic as BO but that guy gives me the willies with his columns and all - I imagine his next stunt is to come riding in on a donkey.
I agree. Palin overshadowed McCain.
Well if you are an ADD child who cannot pay attention to anything more serious then a video game, that is true.
However the adults here realize this is not some sort of made for TV movie but serious business
