Internally inconsistent. If Gov. Palin has united the party, why would we all run off again just because McCain is being what McCain has always been? And he does change his position when presented with the facts: offshore drilling is an example; build the fence first is another.Palin is a conservative and a good choice as VP. However, tonight, Maverick McCain reminded us why most of the party didn't consider him to be our first choice for President.
Re offshore drilling: It was another example of his political expediency. If you recall when he initially announced his change of mind, he said he would leave it up to the states. And if he is being consistent, why doesn't he change his mind on drilling in ANWR?
McCain has not changed his mind on amnesty, just the sequencing of it. I listened to his speeches at NAELO and La Raza. If elected, he will push for an amnesty within his first 100 days in office.
