A protester interrupts a speech by Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain at the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota September 4, 2008.

On balance, I like what I hear.

There are a few sour notes, but we will work all that out.

I believe Sarah has mentioned it specifically - and I really like that!

“Why the hell the left so damn ugly. No Offense but damn.”

They’re even uglier on the INSIDE. No joke.

McCain is pushing the buttons he needs to push to attract the independents and wavering Democrats, those are the folks for whom this speech is really adressed to.

Exactly. He’s doing what he needs to do and he’s scoring some major points on the issues.

Barry won’t be able to talk about lack of substance tomorrow.

1) Job A: Get McCain to drop this "God's Children" pablum in reference to Illegal Aliens and Anchor Babies. No more AMNESTY/BUILD THE WALL!

2) Job B: Establish Sarah Palin's official position on this Illegal Alien issue; ask her publicly on her views and get her on record/establish and verify the influence that Juan Hernandez and like minded amnestie-ites would have in a McCain Aministration on this issue

Job C: Keep the fire on him on this issue, and utilize Sarah Palin as the point person, the spear carrier, the Conservative Conscience day and night, 24/7, for the next four years if they are elected--seeing to it she is not neutralized or side-lined.

That needs to be the deal, IMHO.

He’s starting to lose me. It’s getting a bit boring. Lots of polite applause from the delegates.

Yep, exactly.....McLame really is blowing it; and clearly reminding me why ((easy for me to say as a Californian whose vote won't count anyhow)) I will NOT vote for him.

Disgusting puke = Mc Cain

“He’s never been known as a great speaker nor is Bush for that matter. At least his speech has substance unlike Obama’s.”

It’s hard to tell, since he’s delivering it so poorly.

Sorry to sound like a wet blanket, but Palin’s selection says loud and clear that we have articulate, conservative, inspiring people out there. So WHY ON EARTH couldn’t we have had one of them as our candidate?

I WANT to get inspired about McCain, but all he’s doing tonight is reminding me why I’m going to end up voting for a guy I don’t much like.
