I believe, sincerely hope, that you are correct. Also, no matter what MAJOR shortcomings McCain has, no HONEST person can doubt that McCain has personal courage, guts.

I had been wondering, when the MSM turned on McCain —and we all knew they would— would it make him stronger or weaker?

Great point. Now that I think about it... I've never felt the same anxiety about McCain's 'grace under fire' as I have Republican noms in the past.
