That is simply not true. People voluntarily disclose their social security number all the time on documents that end up in the public domain, such as real estate records, court records, bankruptcy records, loan records, UCC filings, etc.

This info is clearly posted on her website and the rest of the info can be found by searching on her name, so it is fair game.

Nobody ever suffered any consequences for stealing Micheal Steeles private information. Obama got rid of his opposition in Chicago by getting a court order to unseal Jack Ryans divorce papers. I guess he couldn’t find a judge liberal enough to give him acsess to Sarah Palins SS#

The first five digits of her SS# would only indicate where she lived at the time of issuance and a wide date range. If the last 4 digits were given, THAT would be much more of a problem.
