Run Sarah, run!

Bristol,

Please know that you are being used as a wedge issue with no clear answer or path. Females become pregnant all of the time, some older and some even younger.

I am sorry that you became the national spotlight, and most likely against your wishes. I cannot imagine how tough it has been for you. I still remember taking my mom to a Kmart parking lot to break the news of my pregnancy at 16 to my mother. I had, secretly, hoped that she would not make a scene because it was such a public place.

My mother took the news well and welcomed my choice to keep my baby.

I pray that you find peace with your new found celebrity and soon to be motherhood.

As a forty year old female and mother of three, the only ideal that I stand by is that life is a mixture of pain, sadness and regret with a little bit of happiness mixed in to cement it all together. Enjoy the happiness when it comes along, for it is often the briefest of emotions.

Also, there is no perfect path or age to raising children. If there was such a path only peaceful and happy children would exist in the world.

Life is a riddle that the young and old parents have to learn to navigate within and, ultimateley accept, meaning that there is no perfect way or outcome to raising children.

My children did not come out perfect and even relatives that seem to have lived the perfect life did not have “perfect children”.

Human beings are human, and as such make their own decisions. They gather from all of the people that surround them and go with what seems right for them. The most a parent could want is for their children to stay a part of their lives and seek out opinions from time to time, because most opinions are built on experiences.

Blessings to your family for all that you will have to endure. I hope that all of you find the strength to endure.

Governor Palin, you are a breath of fresh air and I will be delighted to vote for you in November. Stand up to the main-slime media and come down on them like a mother grizzly for the low and common attacks they’ve made on you and your family! Hang tough, give ‘em hell, and God bless you real, real good! From a fan in Virginia

I’ve got news for you. This situation is not about Reagan and its not about me either. So cut the snide remarks.

This is ALL about Palin and whether she can rise to the challenge she has accepted -— fullfilling the job of VP nominee on the GOP ticket. Labeling her the next Reagan doesn’t mean that challenge has been reached. IOW, it doesn’t benefit her at all and raises expectations to heights she can’t achieve.

My hope is, Palin rises to the occasion on her own accord and helps to get McCain elected POTUS over Obama. So far, that remains uncertain, at best.

Excuse me, snide remarks?
I genuinely thought you’d find it interesting. Truly.

That both she and Reagan would embrace tbat quote, expresses profound humility.

That’s a fact.

Fred is on Laura Ingraham right now, if you get it where you are.
