I was new to a band once and after attending two rehearsals one of the guitar players quit “over nothing”. I watched it unfold and could not figure out why the two guitar players were ramping it up so much.

Well, after he left the other guitar player explained the history of it to me, and I then understood why they were both so passionate about it. And also why the other player really had to leave.

I see the same thing here. The question seemed subtle enough to the casual observer, but the position and reason behind it was not subtle at all. It was a serious attack question and, further, unjustified. Some seemingly small things are actually huge.

Call em out tonite at the podium when the people are watching.

It would be interesting to see Fred Thompson spend a few minutes ripping the MSM a new one...

Heck, all a republican president has to do to get his message across is SAY SOMETHING. Sure, the MSM will try to spin his words, but IMO people are wise to the MSM's racket and are capable of accurate interpretation.

This was GWB's worst failing.

They need to dedicate a lot of his speech to this issue. And call some of these reporters out by name.

I wonder what would happen if ALL conservatives would stop watching CNN & MSNBC? That would be a 10% to 20% drop in viewership.

Wrong way to do it. McCain should have gone on L.K., made his statement and then walked off the set. Much more powerful.

Which would have been spun by the Drive-by Media the next day as an example of how McCain is a loose cannon and had to walk off the set to keep his temper in check.

Manners? Ethics? at CNN, really:

First CNN Anchor:
A pestilence on him for a mad rogue! ‘a pour’d a flagon
of Rhenish on my head once. This same skull, sir, was, sir,
Bush’s skull, the Network’s jester.

McCain:
This? [Takes the skull]

First Clown:
E’en that.

McCain:
Alas, poor CNN! I knew them, Malichi, a network of infinite
jest, of most excellent fancy. They hath bore Obama on their backs a thousand times, and now how abhorr’d in my imagination it is!

My gorge rises at it.”

Indeed, my gorge does rise at it as well, the clowns are right...

There is nothing obligatory for any candidate to pander to the objectionable behavior of any medium when being questioned on policy matters.

Certainly when a question is asked, time should be allowed for the response - Brown seems to have missed that part in her Journalism Primer way back when if she ever took a course in it.

McCain should make news on the networks who treat him well and with respect - the people will find him regardless.

I NEVER watch Larry King, but if Campbell Brown is the dark haired witch who wore the teal colored top last night, they should give up any pretense of objectivity.

To be more sickening than James Carville is no mean feat.

From now on, we must refer to these evil hypocrits as the “Legacy Media.” They are the past, and have no future. They have totally lost their integrity, and hence their usefulness.

Even Bill Maher (avowed Obama fan) said that Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann looked like “they were ready to have sex with Obama.”

I don't think he'd do it with them unless they had coke and a limo.

Was it not Barbara Walters who wrote a book exposing herself as someone who bedded the powerful and aborted their babies. She was in a position to advocate and influence the public with TV shows. Why have we not fully vetted these people. Lets vet Campbell Brown, Gloria Borger, Kyra Phillips. Are their children now fair game?

Thanks for posting those links. I was going to find them and post them here myself; you saved me the trouble.

:-)

CNN is disgusting. Almost as disgusting as the Obama campaign running the muckraking operations against Sarah Palin.

No, she was belaboring the Bristol Palin “issue”, basically saying Gov Palin was wrong to subject her daughter to the scrutiny.

I agree, I haven’t watched CNN in at least 4 years, maybe longer. I haven’t watched the other cable or network news for even longer-some, like MSNBC, never. I rarely even watch Fox anymore. I get my news from the internet, particularly Free Republic.

My blood pressure just couldn’t take the lying and shilling.

Off thread topic, but if you eliminate the first 25 minutes in Private Ryan, that movie pales in comparison to A Walk in the Sun.
