You kids were right. It doesn’t say “T.Boone’s friend...” see how crazy these commercials are making me? (blushing)

He says, “My good friends, Boone Pickens...” though.

Are you watching Fox? Bill Hemmer is such a simpleton. Did you hear him have to sound out the words “presidential” and “conservation”?

Did you see Fred this morning on Fox and Friends?

I think his energy and performance is so much better now than when he was running. He even looks healthier.

Maybe his chemo made him feel run down back then?

Anyway, he was spectacular in his speech last night.

I think he was sicker then he let on back then. Waaaaaay up thread some place, someone posted a picture of themselves with Fred and he looked horrible. Very drawn and just sickly looking.

Neither candidate wants any attention on the illegal immigrant issue. McCain and Obama support amnesty. How could the pregnancy issue been handled better, even with 20-20 hindsight?

I don’t know what some people see in Fred, I don’t get it. He is a big yawn. I think he is a blow hard, all talk. He doesn’t sparkle. I don’t think he is a Christian. It shows. I am glad that McCain picked someone who sparkles being that she is a practicing Christian. You people are so deluded about Fred. He is what is wrong with the Republican party. He’s got too much of that political hack thing going, all talk no action. People are so deluded about him. It’s sad. That’s part of the reason why we are losing our country, because people are lacking discernment about this kind of thing. People need to wake up.

I got news for you he looked horrible last night too. Wake up!!! I am so tired of this lock-step mentality I see going on. Is it me? Am I the only one who sees this? Please don’t tell me I am, because if I am, we are in REALLY big trouble. I am not kidding, I am dead serious.

Believe it or not, there is no requirement that one must be a Christian to be a conservative or a republican. There is no religious requirement to be in favor of lower taxes and smaller government.

People need to wake up.

And you need to switch to up your dosage.

Actually, his delivery sucked. He has a very difficult time making a point. No one outside of the Republican Party will understand what he was talking about and that’s not good. In order to understand him, you would have to be fully indoctrinated already. And that’s not good. Real leaders don’t require indoctrination, Ronald Reagan was a real leader, he had the spark. Sorry, Fred doesn’t have it. As long as people keep insisting on putting their head in the sand out of pride, the Republican party is going to continue to be ineffective against people like Obama, Hillary and Pelosi. Why was Clinton allowed to stay as President? Fred with all that training as a lawyer in the end just ended up using his training to get out of doing what he should have had the guts to do. I can’t blame McCain, he wasn’t trained as a lawyer. But for a lawyer to use his training like that was inexcusable. What a big disappointment. People need to get off it. As far as “Fred is so this” “Fred is so that,” YEAH RIGHT!!!

BS...if these so-called polls were asked with a modicum of decency and objectivity you might have a point.

But they’re often loaded from the outset.

Take a poll about the war...instead of asking them endless ways about our involvement in Iraq, why don’t we ever see the question asked this way:

Should America leave Iraq immediately and in effect lose the war?

As far as presidential polls...I would like to know who they ask...if you’ll remember in the exit polls Kerry was so far ahead “we would lose big” too.

Not buying it.

You need to wake up, seriously. I don’t do meds. I pray and exercise. What’s your excuse? I know there is no requirement, but guess what, I’ll let you in on a little secret, when a Republican leader lacks Christianity it shows. They come across as a big dud. Leading isn’t just about talk, no it’s something a little deeper then that. And the sooner the Republican Party learns that the better off we will all be.

“Am I the only one who sees this?

I got news for you, no I’m not. If I see it, others see it too, believe me. You need to wake up. The question was rhetorical.

Of course she didn’t send me the whole thing... but I found it, as well as an article where Larry Kudlow (?) stated that he thought Palin was the best choice of those who McCain was considering. As usual, left-wingers take the little bit that suits them and discard the rest.

And as a foot note to that, I will add that I am glad that McCain had the guts to nominate a real Christian, true I didn’t know much about her till the other day, but she has the spark. You need to get with the program. Palin rocks. And I can say that because it’s true. And she wasn’t even my first choice. But it’s not about me and that’s the bottom line. The lock-step thing has got to go.

God forbid you actually look through the thread and see that people on FR loved Fred’s speech. You are in the vast minority. He wasn’t running for anything last night. He was giving a ripping on Obama and telling John McCain’s story.

Yes, we are all wrong and you are right. Is that what you want to hear? Now you can continue to feel superior to all of us.

Again, there is NO religious litmus test to be a conservative or a republican to continue to insist there should be is completely ignorant. People ALL FAITHS are welcomed.

I missed that one...but the dramatic convention theme music is making me nervous. I can’t get it out of my head.
