Let's see if things start to get back to normal now. Not much of a scheduel at all at the GOP site. I am sure they are put things in line as fast as they can.

Yellow journalism seems to be the ONLY journalism we have today.

Other than a few brave reporters who barely get any ‘ink’ at all, we are swamped with slime.

Yes, I did, and it was a glorious thing to behold.

I’m really looking forward to Gov. Palin tonight!

I’m pretty sure the part about Mother Teresa personally giving her the child is not true. I believe she was not actually there when Cindy McCain was.

Well, the media is biased, but the polls really aren’t. In fact, if you look at final polls and election results, they are usually pretty close, especially at the presidential and general election level.

The fact is, if the election were held today, we would lose big.

Fortunately, it isn’t held for two months. Perhaps we can move those polls in our direction.

The election really doesn’t start until after the conventions are over. The polls will become more meaningful after that.

It would be unfortunate, if it is true, that Sarah Palin will have her teenage, pregnant daughter and the guy who got her pregnant sitting with them, thus making them targets of the media and diverting from issues. Or is that the purpose of this at best odd decision?

Yes, I agree with that. But to have a fighting chance, we have to be within reach post-convention.

We are already within reach. Single digit leads, especially after the Dem convention and prior to the Rep convention, are not indicative of where the race really stands.

thus making them targets of the media

LOL. They already are targets of the media who have been scouring Alaska to get more dirt. Levi has been identified and had his picture circulated all over the globe. His appearance at the convention is an in-your-face response that shows responsibility and accountability. Keeping Levi closeted away is a sign of shame and embarrasment. Remember the old admonition that the cover-up is worse than the crime. This isn't a crime, but far better to confront the media head-on rather than try to avoid it and thereby stretch this thing out even further.

I am sure that Palin will address the issue tonight in her speech. The "Bristol Affair" will increase the audience size and energize the Rep base. There is a pony in there someplace.

That’s the question, isn’t it....I hope you are right. I obsessively watch the numbers. And right now, they aren’t great. The snapshot of course doesn’t contain a projection, but it was a bit discouraging to come so close after Biden was announced and then drop back to where we are today.

It does keep the attention off issues such as illegal aliens. It also is distracting from issues. The Clinton years showed just how divisions personal scandals can be. The pregnancy could have been handled in a much better way.

Especially Schumer for some reason. He seems like the type who would hide in the bushes with a dozen rolls of Charmin :)

I can see Schumer doing the old flaming bag of poop prank.

"Hahahaha! Take that, Joe! Now your shoe is stinky!!!"

my wife and I thought Fred did better

No doubt, but of course Fred was talking to us and Joe was talking to the undecideds and centrist Dems.
