No problem. I’ll take Palin vs. Biden, and spot you three bullets.
I don’t know who’s been keeping the certifiGate ping list, but here’s another article.
The real question should be — “SHOULD Either Be President?”
Given the volume (both meanings of the word) of the hoopla surrounding both VP (’warm bucket of spit’) picks, I’m tending to think that there’s an unspoken consensus, among all players, that the wrong two people are running for President.
Buyer’s Remorse can be devastating....
Given the volume (both meanings of the word) of the hoopla surrounding both VP (warm bucket of spit) picks,
***I thought McCain’s pick was shere genius, and it has energized the conservative base. How you can include Palin as a warm bucket of spit pick is beyond me. This is Free Republic, a bastion of conservatism, not republican-party apparatchik central.
“This is Free Republic, a bastion of conservatism, not republican-party apparatchik central.”
Do you actually *read* posts that you respond to, or are you just a knee-jerk name-caller??
The article seems to suggest that because McCain was not born IN the United States, then that makes him ineligible (highly summarized version of what is in the article). However, that seems like faulty reasoning to me (although maybe it is my reasoning that is faulty ....someone can correct me if I am wrong). I thought that if someone is born of an American parent (let alone two American parents), then the offspring has American citizenship. I know at least 7 people who have become American citizens simply because one of the parents was American. They are not just 'legal residents' ....they are citizens. They did not become citizens (e.g. you have a green card for several years, and then after a number of years you apply for citizenship) ....they were BORN citizens.
Anyways, the main thing I got from the article on McCain (again, I could be wrong and I am very open to correction) is that because he was born outside the country, and spent quite a bit of time hop-scotching around the globe. However, that should not mean much unless one just finished reading the Manchurian Candidate. He is still an American, was bred as an American, he is the offspring of two Americans, and he served and bled for his country ....he was just not born on American soil. So what, unless American soil has some Carpathian quality to it (ancient lore had Vampires requiring to sleep in a coffin that was partially filled with soil from their homeland).
Goodness, there are so MANY Americans born on American SOIL that would sell out their nation at the first bid. Look at all the traitors and spies during the Cold War ....all Americans born and bred, and in some cases they sold some very significant secrets/information for (in some cases) very little money. Look at all the folk over at DU (I am not comparing them with Cold War spies, but I am certain there are a small number, at least, who have the interests of other countries above their own. It may be silly compared to the real crimes that happened during the Cold War, but there was a chap in DU who was saying that the US should not win many medals during the Olympics so as to be 'fair' to the little countries).
Anyways, so what if McCain was not born on US soil.
Is Puerto Rico part of the US? Is Guam? Idiots all!

Read your own tagline and do more of the latter.

***why don’t you explain yourself, then.
I agree. I do think this supposed ‘even handed’ approach will be the template for the MSM when or if the Obama birth certificate forgery story finally does break.
Well, in light of Kenya’s publishing that Obama was actually born in Kenya to a mother who was not voting age elligible, as opposed to John, whose parents were serving in the US military, but being born out of the country, I’d say that McCain has every right to run. At least there was no question of his birth being other than to US citizens. Many US children are born to service members overseas. That rule should not apply for them. But Obama’s mother was 17, from what I read, and her husband was not a US citizen.
It's my understanding that military bases are sovereign US territory as well, or does that just apply to an embassy?
Either way, John's citizenship is a lot clearer than Barry's....
According to a true prophet (i.e. who so far was NEVER proven wrong) the answer is NO.

Yes... you are 100% correct.

***I have heard that as a rumor, but is there a birth certificate? Got any links?
“The Barackcuda”
Oh no you don’t.
Stop right there.
Along with “me-tooing” every other damn thing we do, there will be NO co-opting Palin’s nickname.
BoBo the Simp is not a barracuda.
A lamprey, leech or a hagfish, yes but he is NO barracuda.
Pathetic mimics can’t come up with *anything* original.
me-tooing
***Maybe that should be “me-tooting”.
Are they getting their campaign strategies from Seinfeld reruns?
Did he *just* miss being nicknamed “T Bone”?
