But you cannot sit there and tell me a child would rather grow up in an adoptive loving family than their blood loving family.

An intact, stable blood loving family does not have the need to put a child up for adoption. You're comparing fuji to gala, when the true comparison is fuji to valencia.

I’ve seen the boy’s myspace page. He seems like he will resent giving up his hockey dreams and his nights with the guys. I have teen boys. I truly truly hope and pray he grows up and can be a dad. But I bet that his parents are going to do a lot of the heavy lifting. And the odds that these two are going to make a go of marriage are slim. I don’t consider teenagers thrust into marriage an intact family. They might stay together for a while, but. . .it would be far better, even if they married young, to have a couple of years to stabilize the marriage before a baby.

I know of many, many couples that could offer that child a great home. I just don’t understand the resistance to adoption.

I was responding to...

"An adoptive couple IS family."

"The love and care you give a child is what makes you a parent, not sperm and egg."
