I wonder if the smart and graceful thing to do is “decline” to accept the nomination. After all, her son is going to Iraq. She has a newborn baby. Her daughter is pregnant and unwed. This would allow a new Veep candidate to step to the plate, immediately.

she’s not going anywhere, it’s going to be fine, and McCain will win.

Absolutely NOT! This changes nothing as far as I’m concerned. It’s a family matter that is none of my business.

that is a left wing load of garbage
In the face of human failings, the Palin family’s daughter and future son in law are doing the right thing.
They are choosing life.
they are choosing marriage.
LEAD by example.
Surrender monkey BS is for the left.
Remember noonan said it best “the foes of the republicans will try and kill palin and kill her fast.”

See here is the thing. I really like Sarah and think she has the right stuff, but not right now. She’s not seasoned enough, there is WAY too much going on in her private life. And if she really cares about her family as I know she would like to be, the time for her is just NOT now.
I know we want to pull in the PUMAs. And Sarah has great conservative bona-fides. But let’s be compassionate as well as realistic. Sarah Palin is simply going to be too distracted with her own life to take on potentially helming the most powerful nation in the world... a very real possibility given McCain’s age and health problems.
Sorry, that is how I see it. Palin for VP in ‘16, not ‘08.

NO. NO. A thousand times, NO. Sarah Palin is just the Maverick for the Maverick McCain. This is a near perfect fit and Bristol and her baby and new husband-to-be fit in quite well. They say "We are a Normal USofA family. We are ALL USofA Citizens. We are ALL Born in the USofA and YOU, lucky voters, get to see two reasons why we love the USofA. Trig is given an opportunity to live his life to the fullest, with the love of a large and growing family. Bristol and Levi knew they "shouldn't" but they did. So what is the result? Adult hood sooner than later. Is this the end of the world? NO. NO. A thousand times, NO. But this is where YOU decide if YOU are truly ProLife whatever the circumstance or YOU decide to "cut and run" like a hypocrite from DUmmiland. Which is it?
And as I said above somewhere, lost in the myriad of posts, There Is A Reason For This Baby. Who Is To Say That This Child Is Not A Gift To Trig From God And Will Be The One Who Cares For Trig When Sarah And Todd Pass On???
Do Not Question God, Just Rejoice In His Goodness. Thank God For Trig And For Bristol's Baby.
