McCain should have let it be known that the daughter was pregnant...l or 2 weeks before deciding on a VP. That would have given time for a proper spin attempt.

If it was not well recieved then he could have moved on to another, the Gov of La. Bobby Jindal would have been a possibility.... Instead McCain/Palin decided on hiding it from the American People. Why? If its no big thing, why hide it?

Surely arguments could have been made to defend the things this Conservative movement believes in.... much as has been seen on this thread.

I find it difficult to believe that you could believe that. Supposing McCain announced 2 weeks in advance he was considering senator X, but was concerned about Senator X's daughter's pregnancy. Don't you think the media feeding frenzy would sink Senator X as a candidate? Also the whole point of the nomination process is to consider all candidates privately before deciding on the best one, not to allow the media to decide for him.

If you feel so personally affronted that McCain didn't tell you about this issue, then don't support him any further and don't complain. Because all you do by complaining is sow discord and division. It's time to support our candidate or make a case for an alternative if you feel that strongly.
