And to speak of that time, about that time especially in this particular case without reference to the term "negro" would be misleading. Obama's Dad was very black, he was an exotically negro man even in the islands exotic of Hawaii. Negro was also the term of
pride then -- like black is now.
Obama's mom was in her teenage rebellion years, her mind had been primed in the social radical school on Mercer Island, like some teener gets a tatoo these days to set her parents teeth on edge, in those days in that persona Stanley set to set her own mark upon the world. She targeted a darkest, most male, negro, just as at the same time that Kenyan pipe-smoker targeted her prime of sexuality. It was a meeting of predators.
Just as Bristol Palin isn't the VP candidate, neither is Ann Durham running for President. (And Ann didn't have an abortion either).
Barack Obama has a lot of stuff that can be attacked. Mom shouldn't be part of it.
