1/2 listening, 1/2 reading.
Pray tell how do you do that?
In my view, the real question is how Obama’s support among younger voters will fare in the face of attacks on a 17-year-old mounted by his minions. I suspect a lot of younger people are OK with teen pregnancy, but not OK with vitriolic attacks on pregnant teens.
What should Palin have said to her daughter when she came to her and told her she was pregnant? Where is the bad judgement in Palin's public statement today?
Palin is pro-life. Standing by her daughter and accepting the "situation" shows extremely good judgement.
Poor judgement would have been to kick the girl out of the home and/or demand that she have an abortion.
Instead, she faced it head-on, with her husband, her daughter and the rest of her family.
I think your perception of how judgemental the conservative voter will be is deeply flawed. I think they will see a family facing a crisis-of-sorts that many of them have also seen; and that they are facing it united, with love and compassion.
We should all be so lucky to have a family like the Palin family.
I think they will be a great second family; and I, as an imperfect Christian, have no problem voting for her.
Why, do you think that baby is going to ask as soon as it is born “are my parents married”?
Teenage sex is a mistake (ie she shouldnt have done it). You are an idiot if you think a baby that has a loving family who want to keep him or her is better off being put up for adoption. Adoption is a wonderful choice for young women who do not want to take responsibility and who do not have anyone to support them. This is not the case for this young couple. You seem to have a deficiency in your understanding of this subject. A teenage pregnancy means a baby, so in essence you are saying that a baby is not ok. Teenage SEX is not ok but it does happen. The result of the teenage sex can sometimes be a pregnancy (ie baby) and babies are not only OK they are a blessing. The SEX is not OK the baby is a blessing.
Good call....
I agree...
Great luck i the morning and may yourc child be healthy and happy and blessed.
The bottom line is that Palin's daughter and her boyfriend were irresponsible, but now that the deed is done, they are apparently going to get married and step up to their responsibilities. That is an adult decision, and I support her for that.
So get a grip and stop casting stones in the glass house.
The fact this thread keeps going is a total shame on us all.
Some Romneyphants have no shame.
I s amy daddy a jerk?????
Be real.....
Save the personal indignation. I’ve heard it all day.
We shouldn’t be ignoring or celebrating unwed teen pregnancy. Which seems to be what most posters on this thread have embraced.
My concerns are of a political nature and not a personal nature. However Sarah Palin decides to handle this internally within her family, is her business. What happens in the world of politics is my concern. And right now, it doesn’t look good for McCain. Fact: McCain has no one else to blame but himself.
I am keeping up, the story will have some legs. The “smoke” will continue as long as Monegan keeps b!tching, MSM highlights Monegan’s talking points and “fuzzy up” the details which the MSM loves to do.
The only thing that will put this to bed is the AK legislature. Until then the Repubs need to go on a war path like no other. Get punched in the nose, respond by a bombastic gun shot to the head that would make even Carville (The bald headed one) blush.
Are you still laughing?
Great news!! Prayers for you and your spouse for a Blessed delivery.
I forgot you long ago.
But now that you’ve reminded me, yes, I’m laughing all over again.
Congratulations Daddy!
