What are the odds of a teenager giving birth to a baby with Downs?

Pretty much nil. Measurable and elevated for a woman in her forties.

I hope they try to sell this bushwa however. It will be guaranteed to blow up in their faces later.

My daughter is over 40 and will be giving birth to a normal infant.

Then I have a daughter in law who birthed a Downs Syndrome baby in her early thirties.

It’s not nil. I’ve known women in their 20s and 30s who had Down’s babies.

If it is God’s Will, it’s God’s Will regardless of age.

There are plenty of reasons to reject this stupid rumor. Let’s not pin it on age.

Elevated hell, 10 times higher. It's entirely possible for a 16 year old to have a downs baby. About 1 in 2000. It's about 1 in 214 for a 40 year old. That's one helluva an increase.
