About 500 activists led by Veterans for Peace marched from a rally at the State Capitol into downtown, walking behind a flag-draped coffin.

As they reached St. Peter Street, organizers told those interested in act of civil disobedience they could turn left.

Why do these people waste their time? Their protests aren’t going to change anything. No protest that I know of ever has. No protest has changed anyone’s mind about President Bush or the war on terror. No one has looked at these clowns on TV and thought “wow, you know, they’re right! Bush IS a Nazi!”.

These people are nothing but a bunch of leftist, trouble-making, brown-shirts.

They are a waste of time.

These airheads have been marching since 2003 and what have they gotten out of it? Wasted time with their families, social life and a hatred for their country that can’t be put down. Have you asked :”why didnt these clowns protest Russia’s invasion of Georgia?” I rest my case. They’re not anti-WAR but anti-American. They’d better change those signs..

Too bad they didnt get their Vietnam with Iraq. Love Dubya!

According to the story,
they were doing a bit more than just peacefully marching...
restated in my own words in order not to infringe on copyright:
Ten of the protesters, led by a guy named David Harris (supposedly a retired surgeon), climbed under a security fence and were attempting to dislodge more security fencing when they were apprehended by deputies.

Maybe I’m being overly paranoid but it seems like this small entourage of knuckleheads did what they did because they wanted to test law enforcement’s reaction...

“....why didnt these clowns protest Russia’s invasion of Georgia?”

My guess is probably because only American or Israeli wars are bad. When other countries go to war and especially former communist countries like Russia, it’s just fine with these people.

WOW! A whole 500 people marched in their anti-war protest. That is about 49,500 short of the number of protesters they promised.

500 is about the same amount who protested in Denver on the Sunday before the Democrat's convention. The biggest protest in Denver was about 9.000 on the last day of the convention...and that followed a free concert. Hopefully, the pattern will hold in St. Paul and the number of demonstraters will remain low.

Monday is the big march. I plan to be there to annoy them. It needs to spread far and wide, 95% of these idiots will be voting for members of the democrat party in Nov.

They are one and the same people as traitor John kerry's winter soldier (AKA communist party)organization. The are funded by the Russians, why would they condemn their action in Georgia?
