Yesterday on the Beltway Boys, Mort was arguing with Fred and getting really heated about how "totally unqualified and inexperienced Sarah was to be only a heartbeat away from the oval office."

He continued, "John McCain is 72 years old and has had two bouts of life-threating melanoma, how on earth could she step up at a minutes notice?"

Fred calmly pointed out that "Sarah had more experience than Obama, who is at the head of the democrat ticket."

Without pausing and without hesitation, Mort loudly retorted, "OH, YES, HE DOES! He has FAR MORE experience than she does! He has been out campaigning and running for President for years now!!!"

Can you believe that? Obama is now experienced, because he has been RUNNING for President!...Running for years, according to Mort.

That has to be one of the truly most stupid statements I have ever heard...and that's saying a lot!

In that case Mort should favor Nader. He has been running for president for decades.

John McCain being 72 years old has nothing to do with his health or how long he will live. Life is fragile no matter how old we are. Just look at what happened to Tim Russert.
