folks lets have a reality check.
McCain is less than desireable, at bet he is only 60% of “all that” and the 40% is the core conservative issues.
We don’t have to forget that as we deal with reality.
WE HAVE A DOWN TICKET TO SUPPORT. We have republican congressional candidates who up until Friday were going to have their butts handed to them.
Realize TURNOUT IS EVERYTHING.
Palin now brings out the UNPAID volunteers (unlike the democrat PAID volunteers) [btw i never knew in european socialist elections many volunteers are not only paid, but have their own union!].
Consider the momentum we can do with a stronger more conservative congress.
McCain, the flawed, telegraphed one clear message of a lesson learned. Conservative wins elections. McCAin said it with his choice.

So not asking for any koolaid drinking, just think tacticaly this election. This is a conservative opportunity not to be whined away.
Huckabee and Romney are on a stage with McCain and Palin right now. That is an example of looking to the future as a party that some Freepers could take to heart.
This is the first time in the entire race that I have paused to listen to a McCain event, (he was about my last choice) but he is the one we now have to get to the White House.
Give it a break. If you can't support your posts and won't engage in honest dialogue, why are you here?

The strategic aspects of this campaign have been run with military precision. I believe that Governor Palin will be an excellent adviser and advocate for conservatives and we will have a voice in a McCain administration. That's far better than what I first expected.

I don't think there is anything I could have said anything that would have satisfied you. I did, however, say that yes, I'm glad that we have won (in Iraq).
Instead, for pointing out McCain's screw ups (which make up the bulk of his Senate record during the past decade), I get labeled as a "CommiecRat," a "plant" for the "DNC," a "plantboy," and Obama supporter.
The only "CommiecRat" and "plant" for the "DNC" is McCain, with his repeated "crossing of the aisle" to sponsor liberal Democrat legislation as "the original maverick."
Now, why don't you try being civil and actually debating, like the AM said to us in an earlier post, eh?
While I disagree with Rabscuttle 385 and Calcowgirl on voting for McCain/Palin, they have every right to be on this thread as any of the rest of us—including me.

Stop it with the personal attacks!
Saying someone is a troll, or a DNC plant is a personal attack.
If you disagree with them, say why. If you don’t want to support your position, ignore them and move on.
I did donate but this has to be added.
We may not be able to donate to McCain tomorrow but there are still 527 groups we ‘can’ donate to. McCain dug his own grave and deserves the results. The McCain/Finegold bill is a disaster and McCain screwed up sponsoring it. So now our alternative is donations to outside groups representing positions we support. McCain screwed up by failing to realize money will find a way to be invested in support of our concerns in spite of the dumb ass law he got passed.
(I hope Sarah Palin can educate McCain to the reality that his utopia viewpoint is a myth.)
Regardless, that’s the way it is and I hope everyone will consider donating to those groups that represent our interests.
Don’t take this wrong but give bray a break. He came in at the end of it all and was not part of the ongoing discussion.
