Until YOU display some sort of manners, don’t expect it from anyone else.

I always ping someone if I'm talking about them. I can't say the same thing for folks like you, however.

Now, if by "manners" you mean "stop disrespecting McCain" (i.e. stop pointing out his blatant flaws), then that's not going to happen any time soon.

Apparently about 25000 people work in connection with the 535 elected officials on Capitol Hill. Budget numbers that could cause another rebellion if they became widely known. The three senators running in this election have always had huge staffs to rely on for the heavy duty work, and that is how they would continue in office.

Sarah Palin is the real deal, and thank God, McCain recognized it.

Oh, I worked in official D.C. for years, mainly the Pentagon but sometimes the Hill. On the Hill, staff does ALL the actual work. Members of Congress don’t really know or do “work” in the conventional sense.

Sarah Palin is a whole different deal. Like you say, the real deal.

Disinterested party? What a joke that statement is. Maybe you should read your own posts and then try to rephrase that.

Pray for W, McCain/Palin and Our Troops

A bit of advice. Review your own posts. Take a look at the hostile and rude attacks. The shrill and unprovoked insults. I’m not talking about McCain specifically now. I’m not even talking about the crappy way you addressed me. I’m talking about what appears to be a true attitude problem you might want to address. FReepers respect one another. If you want some of that respect, you might want to tone it down. There’s no need to respond to a post you disagree with by slamming the person to the ground and pissing on them. It’s ridiculous. I don’t appreciate being called “slimy” or a “closet liberal”. As I stated, McCain has worked for this country his entire life in the best manner he knows how. What have you done, you whiny closet troll? I don’t appreciate YOU, little boy, calling ANY vet ANYTHING. You haven’t earned that right. You, ain’t even in long pants yet and your service to this country has yet to begin. So, ME generation, get off your wannabe intellectual high horse and take a lesson in humility when you address people on this forum. And if you think “not pinging” you to a post is equal in rudeness to being called “slimy”, and being attacked FIRST I might add, or any of the other lovely comments you’ve made to posters on this website, you’re in for a disappointing life.

You can try to recover your answers but anyone reading them can translate them as easy as I did. It is obvious to anyone who reads them what you are so give up the charade. I’m done w/your game. Buh bye!

Thanks - so can any of this be documented so that it could be brought out to the public? I mean, I heard something last week that said they’re millionaires, rather mysteriously, because based on their salaries, families, it didn’t make sense.

BTW - off the subject, Hannity tonight DID bring up the tape/video of Dem. Don Fowler’s dispicable humor on the hurricane and its spoiling of the repub convention, so at least a few million people now know about that.

Well, shouldn’t this kind of thing be exposed - because God knows THEIR side will dig up and bring up, every possible dirt or even just innuendo on both JSM and Palin.

Yeah, I heard about Fowler’s idiocy this morning. Actually cheering on and laughing about a potentially lethal natural disaster. And the Rats wonder why no one really can trust them with national security.

As for Biden, it’s typical institutional corruption common in the Senate. They all get rich up there on the Hill. The MSM lost interest in that story decades ago. Biden’s role in the bankruptcy legislation is already documented, the worth of it to MNBA is beyond dispute, as is his son’s cushy job there. But it’s all just the same old same old...If such behavior influenced voters very much, Biden would not have been re-elected umpteen times. He’s been in the Senate since McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton.

Better ask Biden.

Cmon. Save your fire. We are all going to need it when President Obama is in power and we are united as Conservatives overturning his agenda at every turn. Some of the people you insult today may well be in the conservative foxhole with you tomorrow.

FReepers respect one another.

I don't respect liberals, even if they are Freepers.

Let's review why I think you are a liberal (or at least, a closeted one), shall we?

Your words, verbatim:

"As for the Republican party, the Party is not moving in the conservative direction. Things change. We also don't toss virgins into volcanos anymore."

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2070576/replies?c=40

The political spectrum is a single line that runs from conservatism (right) to the mushy middle to liberalism (left). If you're not moving towards the right, you're either moving towards the center or the left; furthermore, your assertion that "things change...we also don't toss virgins into volcanos (sic) anymore" in the same section as "...the Republican Party...is not moving in the conservative direction..." contains a subtle implication that conservatism is outdated and primitive, akin to throwing virgins into volcanoes.

The only other place I hear that traditional morality (e.g. The Bible) is "outdated" is from the liberals that have taken over the mainline denomination to which I used to belong. So, guess who I associate you with!

Oh, and here's another curious gem:

Your words, verbatim:

"To state that any vote McCain made is the senate eclipses his performance as a prisoner of war in Vietnam is to vomit liberalism."

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2071731/replies?c=750

So, are you suggesting that simply because McCain was a POW, his later "performance" is not open for question or debate? Are you suggesting that McCain's experience as a POW is some sort of "Get Out of Jail Free" card for his later actions in the Senate upon returning to the United States and entering the civilian world?

Okay, so let's cut to the chase: based on those two comments, as well as your attempt to discredit me simply because I'm a college student, I have good reason to doubt whether you are actually a conservative at all, and hence why I have very little respect for you, posting on a conservative (not necessarily Republican) forum.

So, care to explain why your comments raise all sorts of red flags? Or, perhaps, to rephrase yourself so that I may get a better idea of whom I'm talking with?

(Oh, and by the way, McCain is not just a veteran of the armed forces but a politician, a public servant, and a public figure, and as such is open to mockery, ridicule, and questioning, including by folks like me. Veterans do not receive "Get Out of Jail Free" cards to do whatever they want after they leave the service; the only folks who do deserve the level of respect that you believe they should be accorded are those who are MIA or KIA and are unable to speak for themselves.)

Also, try not to refer to other Freepers (like the folks I ping) as "orcs" (source), since quite a few of them have been here for far longer than you have.

Don't worry; they will blame us if Obama wins, even though it's McCain's fault if he manages to lose to such a sorry and pathetic (and blatantly Marxist) POS like Obama.

They will probably keep attacking us anyways; and irregardless, why not go maverick on them, just like their "hero" Juan?

Throw them out of the foxhole and let them deal with the Rats on their own!

This Late Summer 2008 surrealistic tectonic shift for much of Freeperdom to blindly embrace RINOism all out of excitement of Palin and fear of Jug Ears, IMHO, will subside. I am sure that common sense and reasoning will come back. True, there are many here who were never with us from the beginning, those jockstrap carriers for Lindsey Graham and his ilk, who were instead pure "Republican Firsters" (some would say "Bushbots" and RINOs) and never had independent conservativism as one of their lofty banners. The heck with them, as irritating as mosquitos on a truck bumper in the summer in Wyoming. They will all scatter after McCain loses.

As for the true believers on FR, (those who I think in their hearts agree with Jim Robinson's pronouncement on 23 March that "that bastard McCain is a traitor"), I predict they will come back to their senses, even people like diva Michelle Malkin, will shake their talking heads that they even had a McCain logo on THEIR anti-illegal immigration website at some time, and will be accepted back into the fold of clear thinking and rational decisions based on moral principles. They may have to wash their hands five or ten times, gargle with listerine, spit out the gargle, stare in the mirror and say "what was I thinkin'!" We will just have to be a little patient until these friends of ours get it our of their systems and the prodigals return home. Home to FR. The FR I once knew.

One of the truly outstanding things about Sarah Palin is that she didn’t get where she is by hitching her wagon to a powerful man. Her accomplishments are her own.

Exactly. Someone posted part of an article (I can't remember who wrote it), that loosely paraphrased stated that Palin (in comparison to HRC)hadn't "spent years being fire-forged"...blah, blah, blah.

I thought at the time "Fire-forged doing what? Riding her husband's coattails into office?"

I have spent a few hours reading that hillary forum this weekend. I was amazed at some of the things I read. While I agree that she was treated disgracefully by the DBM and her own party, I am still wondering if the HRC they are referring to is the one *I* read about in threads here on FR, starting back with the 2000 election. Remember the gift registry and the missing items from the White House?

While I welcome the votes against Nobamanation, I don't think for a second that a majority of these posters will vote R downstream. In fact, some have stated they will support Dems downstream and vote for McCain/Palin strictly as a way to send a message to the DNC and the DBM.

Needless to say, I will remain a lurker on that site, because I am afraid any criticism of HRC will be seen as being "disrespectful" which gets one instabanned. Other than that, I am truly amazed at the level of civility and issues oriented conversation taking place there!

“He’s been in the Senate since McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton.”

Bob - it’s beyond dismaying. Yes, “they” go on and on about McCain being “old”. What??? Biden’s been in the Senate 10 years longer than McCain and he’s only about 5 years younger. JSM needs to make his 96 year-old mom more prominent.

And at least JSM’s hair is real :-))))))))))
