To me, it looks like former President George H.W. Bush's appointment of Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court, which was supposed to be a bone tossed to black citizens, never mind that he is in opposition to the entire Civil Rights agenda of the last 60 years. And look how popular Thomas is with his fellow African-Americans.
If Hillary cultists needed any reason to push them into support of Obama, McCain's impulsive choice (he had only met her once and she has never even been to Iraq) of the wildly unqualified-to-be president Palin should be it.
Heaven forbid.
...But it certainly does highlight the fecklessness and hypocrisy of not only the Left, the Democrat Party, the Feminists, or even the MSM, but the Beltway Elite in general...sadly, even Peggy Noonan, someone many on the Right have a great deal of respect for, to paraphrase Hugh Hewitt, taken in too much of the toxic air that circulates around Georgetown and Manhattan. Her specious remarks were no better than super snob Sally Quinn's.
In short, Sarah Palin is a threat to everything the Elites stand for, and does not, as Clarence Thomas before her, fit into the neat Victim Cookie Cutter Mold the Liberals have fashioned for such demographics over the years.
