As a result of yesterday's stunning news about Sarah Palin, the next Vice President of the United States, many Freepers have decided to contribute to the McCain campaign.
TODAY is the LAST day that you can contribute to the McCain campaign. Tomorrow, public financing (ugh!) kicks in and they cannot accept donations any more.
If you want to participate, do it TODAY.

My guess would be it would have to be postmarked with today’s date to count? Try calling their campaign headquarters and asking them: {703) 418-2008.

I think we can still donate to McCain starting monday, but you will be limited to $2500. This donation is for the "primary". I think you can also make a $2500 donation to the General.
I could be wrong. This CFR has me all confused.

That is the way I read it. Too bad, since Palin is helping him bring in the dollars.

I never planned on donating to McCain, but with his selection of Sarah Palin, I just went on-line and DID donate. I also sent the campaign a message that if John McCain would reject the Global Warming hoax I would donate even more,
We’ll see if he takes me up on that!

For the first time in my adult life, I donated to the GOP b/c of Gov. Palin.

True, but in a recent poll, Obama was shown to be over-exposed. The more people know of him, the less they like him. McCain has had more “free” ads- biting ads done by him or others which the media report on, and Obama whines about. He has a better team all around. ALSO, 2000 was not so long ago- McCain was known then, he has less need to explain himself. That’s all Obama has to do... Defend himself.

On Fox and Friends this morning I saw a banner saying McCain got over $4 million in donations yesterday. Some of that was from me, the first time I've ever made a contribution large enough to be reportable.
I said I wasn't going to vote for him, no how, no way. I'm going to.
I said I wasn't going to contibute, no how, no way. I just did.
I said I wasn't going to volunteer, either, but I'm trying to free up some time/energy after all.

I said I would never contribute to McCain, but after seeing his choice of Palin, and watching her speak yesterday, I went to his website and donated. I even ordered (10) McCain/Palin bumper stickers to put on our vehicles, and give away. They were only $1 each, with free shipping. I can't tell you how pleased I am that he picked a Conservative to run with....:-)

That link goes to the national republican senatorial committee, not the McCain campaign. They need money too, but it isn’t as urgent for them.
