backhoe have you ever used a Bobcat? We had extensive tree damage and loss of huge pines in our yard after Ike. The tree company use a Bobcat for the heavy work. It was fantastic, Mr. Ditter wants one.... bad! I just wanted to drive it around the yard.

They ( known generically as skid-steerers ) are wonderful labor saving devices.
They came along mostly after I got out of construction work, so I've never operated one, although I've seen a lot in use- the tree service used one to lift an oak tree off my MIL's greenhouse about 10 years ago.
