... Sarah, 44, had her water unexpectedly break (just a slow leak of amniotic fluid, she shared) while attending an energy conference in Texas, but checked in with her doctor, was able to stay, deliver a 30 minute speech, and then get on a plane to return to her home state in time for the delivery (which ended up needing to be induced) early this morning.
I am not a glutton for pain and punishment. I would have never wanted to travel had I been fully engaged in labor. After four kids I knew what labor felt like, and I wasn't in labor.
Sarah said that while she did not tell the pilot or flight attendants that she was 36 weeks along, she did not hide her condition either
The family initially released a statement saying that Trig has "special challenges," but did not specify what they are. However, on Monday, April 21st, they said the baby has Down Syndrome. Sarah and Todd's statement reads,
Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.
I suspect the same moonbats haunt these blogs and are spreading it on purpose. They are blaming her Christianity as the reason she wouldn’t allow her daughter to have an abortion. Unbelievable.
I visited a lib site today just to see what they were saying. These people are insane (really) I mean certifiably insane. God help this country if they ever have their way.
Hey Monk see how bad*** Alaskan women are LOL!
Honey...you don't KNOW what fun I'm having....
On a serious note - most folks don't know how much mother attention is needed by a Down Syndrome child. I know from personal experience. I am sure this family is just learning.
Me too.
“Blaming her Christianity”, eh? Well let them just keep on doing that.
One of the greatest gifts from God is the temporary insanity which makes women forget,at least enough to not fear a repeat, the pain of childbirth.
Otherwise none of us would have or be a sibling.
They seem like a lovely family and seeing them all together — especially with the daughter holding the infant and their adorable youngest daughter doting after mom — made me very happy. All venom and hatefulness needs to keep to themselves. How shameful to try and embarrass and upset such a family.
While I respect your opinion, I also respect her decision.
Only two seen little. I hope to see a lot of them traveling with their mom.
You know....even if that were true..so what?
BTTT for Sarah Palin, pro-lifer.
You don't, you refuse to dignify it by responding.
I realize that sounds cowardly on the surface, but such evil is only posted to look for a reaction, when none is forthcoming it tends to sliter away.
Yes, you are smoking something because you are posting like a moron.
...’chooses to enter a high risk pregnancy at age 44 is just plain stupid”
ahem...many times, women get pregnant in their 40s by surprise...I know that my third was a total surprise despite my use of birth control...the fact that she BECAME pregnant and gave the child life rather than aborting him is the point. Or are you like liberal women who insist that women who accidently conceive should abort those unwanted special children?
You are a bigot. Your meaning is clear. A Down’s syndrome child is not worthy to be born.
Damn, aint that the truth!
And your point is what?
