Allow me to reassure you, my wife is my guide post on such things. She's a registered independent and HATES politics. She spent ALL day looking up stuff on the Internet about Sarah Palin. She is unbelievable excited about this and I can not image that she's alone.

Roger that. My wife is GOP but until today she could not understand why my son and I spend so much time reading FReep. Couldn't get her off this site all afternoon!!

“Ditto”. My wife is very non-political, but after seeing McCain introduce Gov. Palin today, and hearing the Gov. give her speech today, she (my wife) has been on the forums all day long, watching news clips on TV, etc... There is a LONG way to go, but, initial signs are mostly positive.
