Palin Pick Causes 'Elation' among Evangelical Leaders
cbn ^

Posted on 08/29/2008 9:23:20 AM PDT by flyfree

Wow. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's pick for Vice-President. Folks, this is s close to a game changer as you can get.

Let me give you some instant reaction. I can tell you that The Brody File has been talking to multiple sources in the conservative Evangelical community and the reaction has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. As a matter of fact, I am told that when conservative leaders heard the news this morning at a meeting at the Council for National Policy, one attendee told me that there is "nothing but elation. People are giddy. They are energized and they now believe that in fact this campaign has the ability to win this election."

You know, some of the most incredible people I have known in my life are Mom’s. With the right staff this woman can go far and bring the country with her.

I think you are being quite short sighted on her capabilities. I do not see any sign of lack of motherhood skills in her family now after running a very difficult state, why should she suddenly fall apart?

Jim, I am watching Gov. Palin being interviewed by Maria Bartiromo on CNBC. I have only seen two segments of this interview and I have to say that this lady is as sharp as a tack. Her answers on the oil issue are clear, concise, full of common sense, considerable knowledge and straight up honest. She is a real communicator. No hesitations, no pauses while she searches for an answer. She is a tremendous advocate for her state and no doubt will be for America. I am greatly impressed and I believe once more Americans can hear and see her in more than a sound bite, they’ll go for her in a big way.

I’m not a McCain supporter but he surely has hit a home run with this selection.

Huckabee was quite conservative, yet so is Sarah.

Sarah however is a woman, scoring with the female vote, and frankly a woman man combination is far flexible in understanding than a man / man combination.

Sarah also is a anti corruption old school politician antidote which sharply underscored McCains Maverick with a purpose, to clean out the useless leadership we now suffer under.

Clearly Huckabee was ineffectual compared to Sarah's fine record of getting so much done in so short of a time.

Which by the way was quite well played with the “easy to sit in a harbor” comment. Barack Mohamad Hussain Obama is all about himself, and has not only accomplished nothing in a longer period of time, but has spend all that time voting present, not yes or no.

Her actions speak louder about Obama's uselessness than any attack ads could ever accomplish.

Without even reading it I can tell you that her lesbian feminist supporters are angry at McCain and I highly doubt will vote for him.

Don't worry, they arn't voting for him. Sarah however is another matter. And I find myself in the same position.

I am thankful for that because I am getting pretty tired of reading it over and over and over again.

“No..I just personally know the needs of Down Syndrome Children nothing more to say on this....”

Im so disgusted with how people think Down Syndrome Children are such a burden to raise!

My aunt has Down Syndrome and was the LEAST of my Grandmothers worries and was the BEST aunt me and ALL my brothers, sister and cousins had growing up!

The fact that she is even being praised for “keeping” this preciouse baby disgust me. I feel like we are in 1939 Germany and am so disgusted I can’t beleive what Im hearing on the news.

They are not a BURDEN! They are a BLESSING!

Is anyone worried about Obama’s bounce?? up 8 in Gallup today. Is this normal after a big convention?

I have heard that 12 is normal, and they spent Millions on this being the biggest and best of all. In short, 8 is a pretty flat tire and Sarah just took the cookie jar. Bet the polls show a bigger spike for McCain tomorrow, all without the convention, fireworks and temple effects...

Substance over form takes the cake anyday.

Thank you and God bless you too.

Im sorry, but it boils my blood how people think kids with Down Syndrome are some how more of a burden than other children.....if any thing....most are LESS a burden.

We attend and work with the Special Olympics and meet many other of Gods blessed children and they truly are the most pure and innocent of us. Not only are they not a burden....they are a blessing that God not often allows us to see.

If you have never spent time with these preciouse gifts, then you are truly missing one of Gods greatest blessings.

Lets hope she doesn’t do a Lieberman... That is change her “beliefs” to fit with McCain’s. I can accept that she reflect McCain’s positions as VP, but not that she’s changed her beliefs in order to be VP.

Well

Let it soak in gently on you the next few days.

It’s a good thing...

Lieberman?WTF???

RU a closet Lib?

Romney? Woulda been okay - but not good enough

Especially since the lib media are now whining about why wasn’t it Romney and how it should have been.

Gauge the value of McCain’s pick more than any other criteria - by the degree to which it has shaken the true believer libs in the media to their core.

The more they try every duplicitous, name-calling double standard attack talking point - the more you can be sure that they are experiencing MORTAL fear...

They know that obamessiah’s gig is almost over now - it is only a matter of the nails being driven into the coffin.

Like someone else on this thread wrote -

‘Get used to saying “President McCain” and “Vice President Palin”...’

because it is a done deal and there is nothing the impotent mainstream media can do about it but rage, and feign reportage. McCain was their acceptable “tame pet maverick Republican” - theirs to set up and knock down, and in one MASTERSTROKE...he has outmaneuvered and undone them!

A.A.C.

The paradigm has been changed permanently.

You are a “staunch conservative”...
Let’s see !

Could you explain why she couldn’t run this country BETTER THAN “the citizen of the world”?

I am hearing this new mantra from OUSSBAMA’s camp till yesterday!
The difference is that SHE will be,hopefully,VP as OUSSBAMA wanabe POTUS.
And above all she has certainly a better judgement and morality than Mister OBAMA...

And finally she is a WOMAN and OUSSBAMA’s camp is getting crazy about that....

Sorry for you
