Plus, I want a guy with rock solid principles, regardless of his profession. Incidentally, most CEOs I know are country club Republicans that donate to Hutchinson, Guiliani, and people like that.

Valid points again. But I also want someone who understands simple economic principles, like excessive taxation ruins the ecnomy, only spend what you have, etc. As you pointed out, our last CEO didn't know the latter, nor do the Dems running.

But we're too late on the principle thing. When the guy at the top of the ticket doesn't have any conservative ones, the 2nd choice won't really matter.

Very true. But I can justify supporting McCain if only for the reason that I will be picking an anointed successor who is a principled conservative.
