When the guy at the top of the ticket doesn't have any conservative ones, the 2nd choice won't really matter. Very true. But I can justify supporting McCain if only for the reason that I will be picking an anointed successor who is a principled conservative.

True. It would certainly make it a lot less distasteful and could set them up nicely for 2012, assuming McCain doesn't out-liberal the liberals the next 4 years.
I have to say that I was an interested observer until now. The VP choice will make all the difference for me now. Perhaps it shouldn't, logically, but watching the Dems and their arrogance - along with a real conservative VP (please!) might make me back McAmnesty after all.

Folks...seriously, Meg Whitman??? She will be a heartbeat away from the presidency when we are at war and have Russia and Iran to deal with? I am stunned. I almost prefer Joe L. and he would make me scream.
