Obama’s flub at Saddleback, compounded by Pelosi’s ignorance, compounded by Biden’s record is going to make it much much easier to peel away conservative Democrats.
It’s McCain’s to lose.

In the document, Bishop Saltarelli does not rule out refusing communion to pro-abortion politicians but does say that he much prefers "active engagement and dialogue". He notes that he does not expect priests and others administering communion to withhold it from politicians. "That is ultimately my responsibility," he said. This position may be outdated by this recent announcement: Pope Pelosi At the Gate. See post #1.

US Bishops Conference policy, "Our Catholic institutions will not honor Catholic politicians who take pro-abortion legislative positions or invite them to speak at our functions or schools." A policy that I hope all Bishops will uphold. It is about time that the likes of Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Kennedy, and all pro-abortion politicians who are Catholic be denied any chance to be anywhere in Catholic schools. Instead, children should be taught to pray for these sinners, and ask that God enlighten their minds and open their hearts to the issue of the defenseless unborn children who are being murdered and who's rights are being denied. I would like to see the Catholic Church institute a universal prayer day for these politicians, where they are named individually, and people hold them up to God and ask for God's direct intervention in helping these people see the evil they have done just to get votes and maintain their political power. We should pray en masse (and at Mass) that God turns the pro-abortion politician's thoughts toward protecting all of His miracles, born and unborn. We have special prayers for everything else. We pray universally for other issues. Why not this?
Denying them Communion and receiving other Sacraments should also be enforced until they have repented for their decisions and their support of murdering children and stand up instead to support the teachings of their Church, and the Laws of God.
